for the love of God ...

Is there a way to stop that incessant beeping if you don't wear your seat belt????

I know, I know ... I should wear it blah blah blah ... Sometimes I don't.

Anyone know how to do this??

Clip the auditory nerve...

Pretty sure the same chime sensor works for everything - keys, lights, etc.

I guess you could ground the seat belt sensor lead so the ECU thinks it's inserted all the time...

I hate all forms of electronic reminders, especially the belt chimes, and was stuck by their absence in all 3 of the TSX's I test drove. Upon inquiry to the salesmen next to me, I got 'answers' that made it clear they really had no explanation (something about it being tied in with a fuse that also controls the radio--I said 'but we are listening to the radio now')For me, it's absence in these cars was a big plus. Now I've bought one (the last of the 3 or 4 I test drove) and still have never heard the belt chime reminder. I am completely mystified but happy.

Why would you NOT want to wear your seatbelt? It's there for a reason.

A lot of TSX drivers, me included, like to test the limits of the handling. To do so without a seatbelt would seem really foolish to me as I'm not crash-proof, bulletproof--yes...crashproof--no. Even if you are the best driver in the world those around you are not and their inability could have devastating effects on you.

5 seconds to connect the seatbelt...or....(potential) days, weeks, months in the hospital, permanent disfigurement or even death. HHMMMM.....I'll take the 5 seconds please.

I never noticed this on my TSX, did they add this to the '05s or even the later production model '04 TSXs, cuz I sometimes never wear the seatbelt and don't notice the beeping sound, just the icon stays lit until you put it on.

not wearing a seat belt is like smoking... everyone, including yourself, knows the chances and consequences

Smoking is not likely to be fatal as you are going to the C-store, movie theater or to see your mother. But, your point is taken; we are old enough to drive and aware of what a decision to not wear s seatbelt can lead to.
