Lot number for touch up paint?

I know that wallpaper quite often has a lot number and it's important to buy rolls of wallpaper from the same lot. This is because the shades of color will vary slightly from lot to lot.

Is there any such thing for Acura touch up paint? It would be great if the touch up paint exactly matched the car. If so, how do you find the lot number?

In the past, I've had touch up paint that was kinda close but not exact. Better than nothing I guess.

I doubt it. I would also recommend the touchup pen instead of the dealer brush type since the pens are more precise when you apply it. I've seen the pens on www.handaaccessories.com

Probably not a LOT number but you do know that your paint ID code is listed on the driver's door jamb, right? At least that is where it was on the 04's. That's the code you will need when you go to the dealer to get touch-up paint.

A body shop with the right paint code still need to shade match the car for the perfect color due to aging. So, a bottle of touch up paint will only get close but never the exact match.
