Looking for good spay paint
Ok I'm planning to spay paint my foglights cover and splash guards to match with my car. Does anyone know a good website or place to get the paint?
My car is nighthawk black, but I still don't like the plain black look on those plastic pieces. I don't want to bring this to a dealer or anything, because they are so far away from where I'm at. I also don't want to bring it to any bodyshop. I just want to do this on my own, because it looks easy enough.
Also what kind of paint do I need to achieve the shinny look on those plastic pieces? As long they look shinny and black then I'm happy with it. It doesn't neccessary need to match with my car color.
Thanks in advance,

I would want to do it too. Basically you got to take off the assemblies first. Mask off the lenses. Then paint (FULL PROCESS) to ensure no peeling and a nice shine to match the finish of NBP.
Once I figure out how to take off the assembles. I'm going to sand the plastic. till it's a little more "flat". From there buy Primer (I use dupli-color). Spray the primer on. Wait a few hours. Then buy NBP Paint or some equivalent. Spray a light 3-5 coats of it on in 10-15 mins. intervals. From there wait for that to get "tacky" or relatively dry. Seal that paint with Clear coat or use Performance wheel coating (clear color from Dupli-Color) to make sure it has a sealing layer and a nice shine to it.

Warning, its usually clear, so if you have a light colored car, you'll be using more paint to get it to match, as there won't be a medium gray base (it'll be black).

all you need is your color code and they will make you however many cans of spray paint you want.
i've used them before and they match it very well.

I don't see what's so funny about this... I don't have time to proof read everything, so if I'm missing a letter, I guess you all have to deal with it.
And I think most people understand what I'm asking for... so that's all I really needed. You don't need to get 100% correct on everything to survive on this planet.

Hey tuocnan~
did you use SPRAY PAINT for the foglight trim??? Is the spray paint you use match 100% to your body color? I bought my foglight kit from a member on the forum, w/ PWP match trim. However, when I install it on my car it seems like a little off, which the trim is WHITER than my car. If you use the spray paint, do you mind to tell me
1. Which brand which color code did you use for your PWP?
2. How many CANs of spray paint did you use??
3. What did you do on it? sand + Primer + paint?
Please LMK cause it's not cool right now for having 2 different color on my car. THX

a) Your misspelling is in the thread title (the least you could do is double check it before you post), and
b) the misspelled word is still a word which gives the title an interesting meaning (i.e. the dog pic).
I was going to correct it but some of the posts were already there and they would not have made any sense then.

Dude, we are just messing with you. The n00bs around here lately sure take things personally. Compared to other boards, most of us are really tame.
Anyway, I had my fog housings painted ABP several months back. I looked into a DIY but after you purchase the supplies and spRay paint, a body shop had a competitive price already. You would need to get sand paper in various grades, primer, color matched spray, and then clear coat spray and other misc stuff.
It was not worth the time, money, and hassle IMO. I think I paid a local body shop ~$50 to get mine painted. However, if you do the mud guards as well, I guess you might get out ahead on a DIY.
