Long Island NY Dealer

Long Island NY Dealer
Took back my deposit from Rallye Acrua in Roslyn. Stay away from this dealer, they suck in every aspect of this business. I should have never even put down a deposit, but its on my way to work and I thought that would be convenient. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST.
They don't return calls and no one is ever at there desk. I was supposed to get a call with my VIN number....I ended up calling them and getting "oh yes, we got the VIN number 3 days ago but forgot to call you" They don't inform the customer of jack $hit. Apprently they have no idea about the de-railment or the dealer hold. My car was in the range of VIN numbers, being held and they said they didn't know why. When I mentioned it, the dealer looked surprised that I knew about it, and told me "never heard anything about that, maybe you got your sources mixed up" Their prices are not great, and I only got the price of $27,600 (nothing included besides wheel locks) after I got that from another dealer.
I put down a deposit in late January with a promise date of the first week in March for a CG/QZ/Nav/AT. That date came and went....Was then told the 15th....then the 20...then the 22...then the 26....then the 27th....At this point I asked for my money back or a loaner car. They said they don't give loaner cars to new buyers, only to serviced car owners. The manager of the dealership said that it would be there by the end of the month guaranteed, no questions about it...31st, NOTHING but all of a sudden they had a CG/Ebony that they wanted to give me which was fine with me, but did not want to give me any accessories for free for my time and inconvience.
If you are on Long Island, don't go there. Go to Hillside Acura or Bay Shore. Their prices are better, you get free oil changes while under warranty, and they do a lot of services for free to loyal customers that follow the service schedule. (re-surfaced 4 rotors and changed the entire lug on one of my friend's CL-S for free after a tire shop killer the thread on it)
SORRY FOR THE LONG POST, needed to vent and warn you guys.

My experience has been the complete opposite. I originally put a deposit on a TSX at Hillside Acura. BTW hillside Acura and bay shore Acura are the same place. Hillside started to jerk me around like rallye did to you, but I didn't waste anytime I kept my deposit at hillside and also gave rallye a deposit and they ended up getting a ssm/at/navi 5 weeks before hillside. A year ago when I bought mine none of the dealers around here would negotiate the price. So both were charging me msrp. I found the sales dept to be great rallye. Hillside was pretty good also but they didn't accurately determine how long it would take for them to receive the car I ordered.
I do regret not getting free oil changes. And I live about 10 mins from hillside and 40 from rallye so it's also a pain to go there to get service. But the service department at rallye is great. I never have a problem getting a loaner for any of the service I get done. I am normally able to even get a discount on service.
So I just thought I'd point out that no dealership is perfect.

Agreed, all dealerships are crooks.
How did you get your deposit back from Hillside. I tried to go else where 2 times, but Rallye would not give me back my deposit until the end of the month came, even though that was 3 weeks after the promise date. I wanted to go to Hillside because they and Bayshore had both a CG (Feb.) and an ABP (March) for me within that time I waited for the car.
The manager of Rallye just said he wouldn't refund the money until the month was over.

When I put my deposit down at hillside I had them write "deposit refundable". My deposit was for $100, I didn't feel like looking like an ass and was sick of dealing with them so I let them keep it. Now if it was $500 or something I would have gone down there to pick up my $$. How much did you give to rallye? They made me give them $500. Who was your sales person at rallye? While I don't think the rallye sales dept is the best they were certainly very fast. They thought my car was coming in on April 18th, 03 but it didn't show up until the afternoon of April 21st. They can't really controll when they get the cars. They had it preped, lojack installed and ready to go by the morning of the 22nd.
