Long brake pedal, leaking master/booster?
Long story long I’ve been out of the Honda/Acura game for a few years and recently picked up a 2006 tsx for a daily driver. Seller stated it had a soft pedal because a bleeder screw was cracked/broken. Replaced pads and rotors and lines in the rear and still had a long, soft pedal and BARELY stops. The first few inches of brake pedal are soft, it feels like it hits a notch when braking and then the last1-2” of pedal applies the brakes but it’s not stopping quickly I’ll just say that. Did some more investigating of the booster and master and noticed it leaking.
this picture shows where it’s freshly leaking due to the darker rust on top below the master and you can even see some fresh fluid on the master.
so myquestion is that am i missing something or should replacing the master fix this? When we repalced the calipers and bled them, the right rear wouldn’t hold pressure after pumping (cracked the bleeder screw after pumping and holding the brakes pedal and would barely push fluid out)
