Lip Spoiler Questions...

I am very close to purchasing one, may be tempted to hold off my next detail until I do order.

What is the main difference between the Delsa and Xenonspecialist one (both seen on Ebay) other than price ($60 for Delsa and $70 for Xenon)?

Depending on which one I get, what should I look out for when installing? and What is the best way to install?

Anybody have any problems with the adhesive coming loose?

I would prefer to wait and see if the '07 will have an OEM lip spoiler, but I'd rather pay $90 than $300 (or more)

Thanks for any help

The Xenonspecialist is the one that most of the people have been getting on the forum. So if you go with that seller, you'll know what you're getting.

Not sure about the other one, but maybe some other forum members can chime in.

Hi all...
Today I've received my lip spoiler from Delsa but I saw that the object is shorter... the colour match is right but it is too short!!! About 1 cm for each part... 7 days from Canada to Italy... and the spoiler is short.. sigh..

I bought mine through Delsa and yes, it's shorter than I had wanted but once on the car, it looks great. Color match was perfect for my '06 ASM and I've received a ton of compliments on the car. I took my car in for service and 4 employees (Manager, Business Manager, Owner and Saleman) came out to ask where I got it and to say it looked great. So, I'm happy with mine from Delsa.

Could you post some pics? I've seen many with the Xenon one, but not yet the Delsa.

You're the second person to ask that. After I'm done polishing and waxing today, I'll back it out of the garage and snap some photo's and give tips on the installation. Stay tuned...

That's what I thought when I only saw pictures. In person, it does much more for the rear than you think. If you have the chance, check one out on somebody's car in person, not pictures. But, if small, subtle lip spoilers aren't for you, have fun with something else.

I've got the Xenon one and it is short on one side by about a cm. I could've evened it out on both sides but didn't want to redo the 3m tape - which by the way holds like a me on a hot honeyz legs (substituted legs for the real fav anatomy.)

The lip is much nicer than the OEM as it doesn't take away from the line of the car. The OEM just sticks up way too much and well... cheapens the look.

If anyone is contemplating buying from DELSA you may wish to think again. I currently have an active Paypal dispute with Delsa regarding the fitment of this item (TOO LONG!). They have not responded to my many attempts to contact them over the last 2 weeks. I left them negative feedback

"Does NOT fit Acura TSX. Still waiting for response from seller..".

Within a short period they replied to the negative feedback on Ebay with "Reply by delsa-motorsports: Server Issue and we've contacted buyer with resolution!".

Nothing could be further from the truth. I have still not heard from them regarding my issue and it has been 2 weeks. I have also sent them photos of my concerns with no response. If you look at all their negative feedback they have claimed "server issues" a number of times when someone complains.

I will post up pics once the issue has been dealt with by Paypal. I am thinking about creating my own website with photos etc if this is not resolved. Very angry about them lying to the public and their lack of support.

If you want to get burnt deal with Delsa.

Does anybody know the dimensions for the RSX trunk lid?

I'm starting to wonder that the RSX lip spoiler might actually fit our TSX's.....

i bought mine from xenonspecialist and yeah it was slightly short on each side but i think that depends on how you install it. i wanted mine flush with the end of the car and curved with the trunk so it came short on each side by about 1cm but the color was completely flawless. i ordered on a monday and had by saturday. deffinitely worth it...

The RSX has wider trunk, so the lip spoiler wont fit. The closest thing to that spoiler would be the spoon lip spoiler for the TSX/Accord. Honestly i think spoon literaly copied it.

Hey Bustersonic - this is the Delsa one on my car. What doesn't make sense is the other pics of the Delsa spoiler I have seen are too short. Mine goes over the boot line by a small margin (not very noticeable but I am a perfectionist so know it is not quite "factory" finish). The paint seems to be quite good.

The most dissapointing part of dealing with Delsa is communication. Once you have purchased the item - forget about hearing from them again if there are any issues. I complained about the length of my spoiler and they fail to respond to any of my emails. They also said they resolved the issue with me in the ebay feedback - but I still have not heard from them... sigh...

So my advice is not to purchase from Delsa. They are to deal with. Sure they are cheap spoilers but I have only heard good things about Xenonspecialist.

Maybe this is me being a little bit crazy, but I actually like the look of that photo you posted. As long as the 'little bit' isn't damaging the side panels when you shut the trunk, I think it looks better than the ones that are a bit too short. His paint job and your placement / aligning of it do look good tho.

Still, its good to know exactly what you're getting, and that seems to be the case only for dealing with xenonspecialist.

i would rather longer than shorter too as long as it doesn't damage the paint on the side of the boot. is it possible to find out if it's longer or shorter before you buy it?

Like I said Buster- don't buy from Delsa - you have been warned

It will not damage the side of the boot but it is not as good as the one from Xenonspecialist.

Xenon does prepainted ones too. As for not being happy with the length - yes, that is the main issue but really it is more to do with the way they treat customers.

They do not respond to emails if you have any concerns post sale. Even when I filed a dispute with paypal they did not respond to Paypal! Then when I left negative feedback they left a totally bs response "Reply by delsa-motorsports: Server Issue and we've contacted buyer with resolution!". That never happened - they are lying pricks.

If you go through all their negative feedback (33 people in the last 6 months) look at how many times they have claimed "server issue".

The other thing to note is they claim the spoilers come from "CANADA/USA". But my package came from Taiwan.

If you want to deal with shonks buster it is up to you.

I was driving home yesterday and was behind a Civic Hybrid. The Civic Hybrid comes with a lip spoiler and it looks pretty decent. Whether it would look good on a TSX is another matter. But does anybody know the dimensions of the Civic's trunk and would it work on the TSX?

I'm aware of the need to install a lip spoiler in decent temps, but what about driving at high speeds after it's on? If I install it and hit the road for a 200mi trip, am I in danger of the wind speed pulling it off?

Hey there,
Im an OzHonda member too and have a Graphite pearl MY06 Euro. I'm also thinking about the Xenonspecialist rear lip spoiler.
Did you manage to get one or get in contact with them re the color?
Maybe we can sort this out together with them.

I have "asked the seller a question" 5 times from the eBay site and have not had a single reply. I have asked if they can color match to Australian Honda colors such as Graphite Pearl and if they will ship to me here in Australia or to a friend in the States who can then "onship" to me here. You would think they would want the sales but they do not respond at all. Have any of you had similar problems?

I just ordered one on 5/30. I have a Glacier Blue Metalic (06) and neither Xenon or Desla sold one in that color (B385M). I found a, "ACURA RSX, TSX & TL Painted M3 Lip Spoiler" from "rburns6153". The eBay credentials seemed good - lots of feedback, etc. I'll post pics when I get it. Was $60 even shipped (35 + 25). If you search on eBay for TSX Lip Spoiler you'll hit him - maybe he'll have that color?
