Lifting coilovers

After 3 years of riding on a 2" drop on my Tein Basics I've decided to adjust the coilovers and lift it about an inch or so. I'm just tired of scrapping going up and down driverways, bumps and what have you. Besides just getting an obivous wheel alignment after the adjustment are there any other things I need to think of? I'm guessing I'll lose a little but of handling since the rule of thumb is the lower you go the better the handling. I'm just hoping the two twisting rings have seized after 3 years of use. Thanks for any input!
