Just realized in one month I've spent...

over $3000 in mods! $3162.12 to be exact!

Just check out my signature for all the stuff I've bought since obtaining my TSX one month ago.

I have the springs and shocks in my room, ready to be installed next weekend and I have the Ingalls Rear Camber Kit coming in on Monday. So my suspension should be set by next weekend. Then I just ordered my wheels today and they should be coming in, in 1-2 weeks supposedly.

Ahhhhh......this should be it for this year.....hopefully. Next year will be Injen CAI, Greddy Evo2 Catback, Comptech Rear Sway Bar, Rear M3 Lip Spoiler, and maybe, just maybe....Hondata????

That's awesome VB

I see you made your decision on the rims!
Is that $1255 with tires too?

Can't wait to see all of the mods on your car!

Maybe I'm glad that I'm leasing... otherwise, I can see $$$ pouring out of my purse

But definitely, your TSX will be more awesome than mine!

Yep, the $1255 comes with 225/40/18 Falken Ziex 512s mounted and balanced. Oh, and that's shipped too!

I will definitely take pics after I install my suspension and then more pics when the wheels come in. Gotta get my baby nice for the summer

You guys are way too dangerous. So far, all I added to my TSX is gas. There are many things I want though (we will see how I do in Vegas).

Car modding is a dangerous hobby if you like to save money

Not even hard nowadays to get wheels and tires costing $5000+

Took me like 3 months to spluge and get Tein Coilovers after thinking about it every day. Finally did it and was definetely the best thing ever done to the car, even if it was around $900. I did the same thing when I got Toyo Proxes, I read so many review and then in the end just ended up spending the extra money and it was worth it.

To me it is buy a high quality product or don't buy anything at all and if it costs more then eh so be it. I'm the same way about clothes, computer equipment, cameras, everything...

GREAT choice on the Volcanos. If I buy aftermarket rims, those will definitely be the ones I get.

vbong, can I ask where you got the TSW Volcanos with tires mounted and balanced?
I didn't see them on Tire-rack last time I surfed over there.

Once you start you can't stop, trust me. I don't think you'll be able to go a full year before modding something else.
I told myself after the Euro-R kit, no more for this car, now I have a new list a mile long.
I'm beginning to like this car so much, I think I'm gonna keep it.

the secret is to space your purchases out. if you go to long you'll go crazy, if you do it too quick you'll be broke.

I totally agree X, I think it's good to space out the purchases so that you can also enjoy each one and see what type of a performance change/difference it makes. Not going broke is also nice about that too...It's soooo hard to be patient sometimes though

Yup I agree with spacing out your mods.... besides the money reason, it's good to do a little at a time to see how your car truely responds to each individual mod you do.

I actually spoke with Derek at www.wheelsdirectonline.com and we negotiated a price on the wheel package. I didn't want the Hankook that was being offered in the package, so I asked him how much it would be for the Falkens. That's what it came out to be. There's a store in Mass. that had them in stock with the Falkens but they wanted $1500 total. I'll wait and get it shipped instead.

If you go to the Mass Meet in May, you'll be able to check them out in person.

To everyone else, I knew before I purchased the car that I would be shelling out 3 grand this year for modifications. And I will be spacing mods out too. I actually pretty much figured out my mods for the next two years. This year was for looks (the list I have in my signature). Here are my mods for the next two years:

Next Year:

- Greddy Evo2 Catback
- Injen CAI
- Comptech Rear Sway Bar
- Rear M3 Lip Spoiler

Two Years From Now:

- Navi to TV/DVD
- Maybe Headrest Monitors
- Hondata???

And like someone said in a previous post. If you're going to mod a new car, mod it right. No half ass stuff which is why I got the complete suspension lowering setup instead of just getting lowering springs. This is a new car so I should treat it well

I know, I know, but I'm not the biggest on power, which is why its not a next summer mod. And I'm still getting used to the increase in power with the TSX. I used to have a 98 Integra LS that pushed 144 stock and 154 with bolt ons. The TSX is more than enough right now for me. Getting the Hondata in 2 years will be perfect because that'll probably be when I'll be itchin' for a little more power.

My thinking is that if you're already planning on certain mods for the upcoming summer (like I did) and you have the money, why not get it now and enjoy it for the entire spring and summer before winter comes again. Obviously, I wouldn't of gotten all these things if I would be broke afterwards, LOL. I'm pretty much done, so I get to start putting my weekly checks back into savings again

I'm done except Hondata and a new set of rims within a year.
Well, maybe exhaust one day.

There is a pretty good resale mkt when your done with the stuff,
don't despair.

You didn't even get into header, exhaust, cai yet, it gets worse.
But you did it right do it early, no point into the 2nd and 3rd year
when you might start thinking about another car.

I'm keeping mine until the next model refresh. 3 more year?

That looks like a great plan man! I like what you've done so far
I don't see any audio upgrades listed though
Are you still planning to add your subwoofer from the Integra?

Just don't be like me and blow like $3000 on just audio/video upgrades alone

You should consider getting Hondata sooner VB...They should be able to flash the 05's pretty soon!

Whoops, I am planning to change out all the speakers in the car most likely when I do the Navi to DVD/TV Tuner. So in two years probably, unless a speaker blows out or something.

I was thinking about putting the subwoofers in, but I've just been lazy I guess. I probably will put it in when I do all my other audio/video upgrades.

Some are all for "exterior", while some are all for "interior" modification.

I am most definitely on the side of exterior mods rather than interior. In fact, I'm more of looks than performance.

It all depends on everyone's personal situations. In my situation, I am at home indefinitely for personal reasons, which provides me with a lot of play...I mean savings money. Now that I'm close to being done with mods for this season, I can start putting money back into my savings...though I'll be taking a trip to Vegas in August for a Bachelor's Party, but that's a whole different story, LOL.

I definitely would not recommend everyone to go out and spend 3Gs on modfications right after purchasing the car (I also put down 9Gs for the down payment ), but I'd been saving up for awhile and I still have money in savings. So my advice to everyone is to be responsible with your money. If you are going to be broke after spending money on your car, then maybe you should save up some more before purchasing something. For those who won't go broke afterwards, then mount up and swipe that credit card baby! LOL

I can't wait to put on my 18s this Saturday! I'll definitely have pics up by Saturday night.
