Just bought a '05 6 SPD Non Navi, did i get ripped off?

Hi All, I'm new to the forum though I've been reading for awhile and appreciate all the information on this site.

Just put downpayment on '05 TSX Non-Navi, delivery for December 7th.

Total Vehicle Price: $26,560 (Including Destination Charge)
Tax (DE) $731
Document Fee $55
Tag Fee $10
Messenger Fee $24
Registration Fee $20
Title Fee $25
PA Tire Tax $5
--------------------------
Total Price: $27,430

Is this a good price or did I get ripped off?

Whats MSRP? For a pre-orded '05 I'd think that's about par.

MSRP is $26,990 + $570 destination charge. Basically I got it for $1,000 off MSRP + Destination. I didn't think I was going to get much better than that on an '05 considering there not even on the lot yet and I got to choose my color, specify 5 max miles on it for delivery and no dealership badging. I think I might be able to get a price a little better, but not by much and this was the closest dealership to my house. I just wanted to make sure it was a fair price compared to others that are purchasing an '05.

I would think thats a great deal. Anything off MSRP for Brand new model is impressive to me. I payed MSRP for my 04 back in june/july. Wouldnt budge on the price. I did get wheel locks and spash gaurd free though. But then again, they were the only acura dealers in southwest milwaukee. Kinda regret not waiting for the new TL though.

Another way to look at it: you got yourself a great ride and a nice price. So why even bother wondering whether or not you could have gotten a better deal? The deal is done, now pick up your TSX and enjoy it!

deal is done but I can always pull out and get the deposit back, had them put that in the paper work. It seems like a fair price though and I just wanted to confirm.

But put that aside that's a very reasonable price you've got there. I'm expecting to pay slightly more myself.

Good deal, especially considering the dealer took a small chunk out of the MSRP .for a 05 model. Most of the dealers I've been speaking to wouldn't even budge fr/ MSRP.

Hey Sipark, it was West Chest Acura on Wilmington Pike. If your interested I can refer you to him, I would hold out till after I have delivery, he's been awesome, but I don't grade a sales person until the deal is delivered, then based on that I make my reccomendation. So far he's been good though.

keep your sales slips, you can deduct your sales tax on your vehicle this year if you itemize

I can itemize 100% of the tax for this year? That would be good. I will post pics as soon as the get the car. Oh, just got a call 3 min ago, another dealership just offered me $500 less. Is it worth the hassle to get the deposit back?

FYI, most of these fees are just BS "fees" that are padding the dealer's profit.

I know alot of fees are just bs, but Title, registration, PA tiretax and Tag I koow I have to pay, so Doc Fee and Messegner fee I can live with considering the discount. I'm going to call them.

Very nice! Considering Tax and all the freebies, I think you got a great deal on a pre-ordered car. The only way somebody will beat that is if they wait a few months and find one sitting on the lot.
