Interior lighting

I just noticed something tonight about the night interior lighting going home from the gym. When I went in the car and started it, I noticed the lighting for one of the power window control was on and I hadn't turned on my headlights yet. But only my window control with the word auto was lit and the rearview mirror control joystick. The window lock button was turned on so when I pressed it to turn it off, all the lights for the window controls went on even the ones on the other doors. But my question is why are my buttons for my radio and hvac not lit up. Is there a button I have to press to turn those on too. Is this controlled by the light sensor? During the day is the lighting for the window control always on or controlled by the light sensor. I know they go on when you turn on parking and head lights. I was just wondering about this and if my center console is also supposed to be lit like the mirror controls at night without the park or head lights on. Any comments.......

If they are like the Accord, the door switches are always lit...independent of the headlights.
