I have a call into my agent, but does anyone have any idea how insurance on a 2005 TSX would conpare new Dodge dakota quad cab 4X4. I am thinking it would be nearly a wash, but not real sure.

Rates don't change much for someone your age unless it's a drastically more expensive/different car.

It's likely going to raise just a little as the TSX is more expensive to fix then the Dodge but since few folks your age wreck TSX that should help. Being a 4cyl sedan should help too.

I had a 2001 Durango before I got the TSX and my insurance went up about $100 for the year.

Did you get the quote? 4X4 trucks are usually more. I'm interested to see if there is any difference.

To my surprise, I got a quote of only $400-a-year more for the '05 TSX than my $2500 trade-in car. I am also under 25.

the insurance with my 91 legend was ~1800 anually (no nothing). the 6speed tsx is ~3400 anually (one ticket, no points because of an internet test, still no wrecks at all). that is the really expensive stuff too, with all of the collision and comprehensive and free taxi if i can't drive away... i hope that helps. and i'm 19
