Hey,

I have a set of MB Quart QSD213 5 1/4" component speakers, which includes a 1" tweeter. I was thinking of installing this mself, but have never looked under the door trim on an Acura. How hard would this be? Plus, it looks tough to get to that tweeter way up on the dash.

Second, I have a 5 channel amp which I will connect to the factory head unit via a Navone LOC (Line-out-Converter). The front speakers will be bi-amped by the first four channels of the amp, giving each side 220 watts RMS (Amp birth sheet is rated at 110x4 at 4 ohms RMS, and the 5th channel is rated at 389x1 at 4 ohms) It's a monster of an amp! The front speakers can handle this amount no problem, and I am not sure what I am going to do with the rear speakers. Might replace them, or forget about them, since rear fill actually decreases sound quality. Plus, I would be adding a 10W7 or a 12W6v2 for a sub in the trunk.

Thanks for any help or any suggestions by other fellow TSX owners that have installed a similar system.

I have had it for a few years, and has been awesome so far. Anyways, I am wondering if the wiring is up to snuff in an Acura, and two, can the alternator handle an amp that has a draw of 80 amps (at least that is what the fuse is) It will never probably draw that much ever. I just don't want my lights dimming.

Whoops, I am at work and didn't realize that last paragraph doesn't make sense. I was talking about the amplifier. Its a Alpine MRD-F752. I was cutting and pasting stuff while I was typing, and didn't realize what I did, sorry about that.
