Are Infiniti I35's that quick?
An I35 overtook me today while driving the TSX, I wasn't racing, but driving normally. I was starting to speed up to get nearer to the I35 and then the I35 moved fast, I was already driving 60mph in a 45mph zone and he must've been driving 80mph there. Those haul ass. Does the I35 share the same engine as the G35? This is one thing that the stock TSX shows that it can't keep up with any of the Infiniti cars except the deceased G20. I kind of wish Honda/Acura put more torque in their cars.

This is good,..........I was going to put up a thread about this actually. Just got a TSX a few weeks ago,............and we are thinking of replacing our 1999 I30t,.....with a 2002 or 2003 I35 sport. Our I30 is a really nice car to cruise with on the hwy etc,.....and we are just thinking of replacing it with something similar, just a bit newer. Dont want to shell out a fortune on something new having just got the TSX,.........and really like our I30t right now. Getting a used G35 would cost another 7000 CAD anyway,......dont think we wanna shell out that kind of cash.
Any thoughts if this is a good idea? Could look at a 2002 or 2003 TL,.....but I heard they have some sort of tranny problem. Opinions,......insights,...suggestions welcome. I appologize if this is sort of in the wrong thread moderators.

The I30/I35 are great cars, and yes it has the VQ (as does 95% of the Nissan lineup).
TSX's are no match for it.
Many think they are glorified Maxima's, which they are.
I think they look classy and are good cruisers, plus they're very reliable.
