If they offered the coupe with AWD, I'd quit drinking and eating to buy one. I love my TSX but the G35 coupe is super badass.

Interesting how it distributes tourque front to rear from 50:50 to 0:100 depepnding on the setting. I really like that idea.
They don't mention a weight anywhere in the specs. I wonder how much more it will weigh?

Is this not available with a stick? I didn't see that at the link.

Yeah no stick (that I can tell). Also I think it gained 180 lbs. when AWD is added.

Even though it might not have a stick and will weight more, it will still SMOKE the TSX 6MT across the board. So, if you want to hang on to the idea that you have to have a stick to be fast, go ahead, but you will be left behind at a lot of stoplights...

Any G35 will smoke a TSX. It's not about being faster than X car. It's about having a manual transmission. Why don't people understand this?

Because it is foolish... The amount of time you can have fun with a manual transmission compared to the amount of time it is a complete pain in the @ss is not worth it. I know the auto-sticks and SMG's that are out now (just aren't the same) to you die-hard manual guys, but they provide enough for that 10% of the time when you want to play with one. Why have a clutch when you don't need one?

Auto's allow you to keep both hands on the wheel where they should be!

I disagree. :P

.....Why have a clutch when you don't need one?....
Because I WANT one.

The amount of time that your right hand leaves the wheel to actually move the shifter is miniscule (and you'd be doing the same thing in your SMG or SS auto or tiptronic or whatever).

Yeah right! At least be honest, manual drivers NEVER have 2 hands on the wheel. And your hands don't have to leave the wheel if you get the tiptronic paddles on the steering wheel. I will admit that nothing is more fun than a manual, but like I said, I don't buy a car for the 10% of time that the conditions allow me to have that fun...

That's fine, but you having fun 10% of the time is your fault. I have fun about 90% of the time. I'm not trying to convince you that manual is "better". I was just trying to make you see why someone would not consider a car that didn't offer a manual tranny (other than straight-up performance).

Edit: ...and I have two hands on the wheel about 90% of the time as well.

nice backup clutch performer. Totally not about speed but about fun to drive

heard it said before and i agree (especially after going from a stick to an auto I will now never go back to the an auto unless my body just can't press the clutch in).

If you are a rider = get an auto
If you are a driver = get a stick

I prefer to drive

Too Funny... So you are saying that you can have a Geo Metro or any other car with a stick and that makes you a driver?

If you were such an enthusiastic "driver", you would have purchased a car with more performance than the TSX. The cheap tires alone on that car take it out of the performance category. But at least you got a stick, right!

I still think the guy in the G35 auto is having more fun "driving" as he passes you on every turn and straightaway...

Uh, OK. For about $5K or so more, he BETTER be having more fun. But I seriously doubt it. However, I think both the G35 drivers AND TSX drivers are having more fun than you are, since we aren't wasting any time on their board b*tching about the G35 and vice versa.:P

Wow, good one. Did you come up with that pathetically weak reply all by yourself? The truth is that I have 2 BMW's in my garage and I can't wipe the F'ing smile off of my face. You want to challenge me? Bring it! But know that I only speak the truth and sometimes, the truth hurts...

All I did was call you on a stupid comment about a "stick" being for drivers while an "auto" is for riders. There are auto's out there that will smoke any stick, especially one tied to a 4-Banger.

You are totally hilarious...sounds like you need a life and maybe a little less caffeine. Did the BMW guys kick you off their board for being a mean and rude little dude or something?

What are you even saying here? Sure a 456GTA is going to be faster than a TSX 6MT but what are you trying to prove? Apples to oranges man!

So are we gonna talk G35X here or just talk about how 6MT's can never be any fun for anyone

I clicked on the link the the G35 looks like it picked up a pretty darn sophisticated setup. I had a G35 and that thing has PLENTY of power to gain AWD and still be plenty quick even though the extra pounds are there (is 180 really a lot for AWD setup?).

I do think this would be even MORE sweet with a 6MT tied to it if it is not planned, but sure looks like Acura is going to be last to the AWD market for its sports sedans .... that's the real shame here.

I'm all for AWD but I think we'd need a V6 in the TSX first. Personally I would prefer RWD with the four than AWD with a V6.

I agree ... that is why I think there should be a TL-X The TSX is just fine as a FWD only car.

Yes, a 6 would be nice and AWD would be sweet too. I cannot even imagine an AWD paired with a 6! Oh, wait a minute, that's what I have! 3-Series baby!
