I'm an IDIOT
Note to self. Don't try to back out of an out-of-order drive thru ATM lane.
I won't have a chance to call a body shop until sometime next week. Can someone give me a rough estimate on what this will cost.
Any good bodyshops in the Carlsbad/Vista, CA area?
God I'm stupid.

Any guestimates? The bumper I'd think would just need to get repainted. I'm hoping they can just pop out the dent in the panel above it and repaint that too.

you *might* be able to pop out that dent if you get some dry ice (go to the meat counter of a supermarket and ask for some) and stick it in the middle. if you google dry ice and dents, you'll find a guide. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. i've been able to pop out some dents with dry ice, it's not like you can make the dent any bigger!
as far as the yellow paint on the bumper .. you might wanna try going at it hard core with a bottle of Goof Off (http://www.valsparglobal.com/val/resident/goof-off.jsp). I accidentally backed straight up into a yellow pole before, and while i was going slow enough not to dent the bumper (well there's a tiny dimple if you're close up), some of the yellow paint from the pole stuck to my bumper. The Goof Off was able to get it off with hard scrubbing (cotton balls seemed to work better than microfiber clothes or sponges). Follow this up with some good paint polish and wax, and you may be ok.
I know this might all sound like a long shot, but you may be able to fix it yourself, and you can't make it worse. To be honest, the dent you probably wont be able to do, but the yellow paint scrape might just wipe and buff right out.. i've fixed worse!
oh and lastly, you're so so so lucky that the dent didn't happen about 8 inches higher on that crease in the body, dents on creases can't be popped out, and a body shop would have to weld in a new quarter panel and paint it. That happened to my old accord, and the cost of repair was $2000.

i would DIY it, it would cost u about $6 (paint pen) and about 3 hours of labour. First what you wanna do is scrape off the yellow paint, clean the area. This way you can see the extent of the damage, next if u feel confident, take out the rear bumper and pop the dent back out, then polish the area without paint, wax. If necessary apply paint pen.

The paint pen has amazing paint match quality.

i got into a similar accident where a buddy of mine reversed into my car. i had a broken tail light but the damage besides that was similar. i went through his insurance company and requested a new rear bumper. the body shop charged 2800.00 with the bumper replacement but to just pop it out it would have only costed close to 2000.00

Wow thanks for all the replies and advice (and condolences).
So here's the plan of action based on what you've said:
1) Scrape/Goof Off the Yellow paint on the bumper and use touch up paint/langka to get rid of any scratches.
2) Try Dry Ice to pop out the dent
3) If that didn't work, take off the bumper and pop out the dent from behind.
4) If that didn't work, $2K at the body shop.

what if you go through insurance and just pay your deductible?
when I got my bumper damage fixed (buff, sanded, repainted entire bumper) it was $300, he underestimated the amount of damage but still honored the price. i have the same color car, GL.

Boring Teacher
My mother backed my TSX into a pole and did almost exactly the same damage when the car was only 3 weeks old. The body shop talked me out of getting a new bumper. Instead, they heated the bumper and reshaped it then they snded down only the part that was damaged and painted it then clear coated the whole bumper. I also needed the outer part of the tail light replaced. It only cost her $560 for the whole thing. My damage was almost exactly like your except I also had a broken tail light. Same side and everything. Smile...it's not that bad!

This shouldnt cost you more than 1200 dollars, and not 2000...coz my buddy had similar damage on his Infiniti G35 and he took it to stealership reco shop and they fixed it for less than 1300....
