Maybe you should have broken in your car properly.

I heard that driving it hard helps the engine break in a little better but i have a small doubt about it.

I currently have about 2300 miles on my car, and the first time my MPG was 23, then, 24, 26, 23, 25, 26. It's about what the manual said about MPG. BTW, I have a AT 5 SPEED. I am pretty happy about my MPG. GO ACURA!

I got 19 mpg on my first tank of gas.
For now, my car has 13K on it. Its about 25 mpg.
The best I ever have is 30 mpg.
23 / 32 ? I think Acura should be put a more reasonble number next time.
BTW.. anyone heard about the new 2005 corvette ? 18 / 28 mpg?
If this number is true, I think Chevrolet did a very good job consider a V8 6.0 liter engine.

a search with the term "MPG" will probably answer your questions. it is a variable of a number of things, including break in, temperature, gear choice. so jlukja's question of what "normally" means is your starting point.
