Lung,

So is the consensus that $500 off msrp for ordering a MY05 pretty good? I'm just thinking its not that great, but what do I know, I've never owned an Acura before..

Again, if you go to Ron Tonkin, talk to James LaFluer.

Also, I did get one good offer way back when from Acura of Bellevue.
Actually I got the feeling she was below Justin. . . I orginally was corresponding with her and hit a dead end, Justin emailed me later and we made a deal.

James LaFluer gave me a good quote too, but I didn't see it until after I had already bought (it got caught in my SPAM manager).

Honestly, I don't know. I bought back in April/May 2003.

For you locals in the Portland area, I'm wondering if the price of your tsx included the protection group and something else I can't remember like "theft" insurance protection or something? I'm wondering just what the heck that is when I saw it on the sticker.

What did the cost of these items together run you? From the looks of it, it was right around $600!

The "Protection Group" is basically all-weather floor mats, trunk tray and mud guards.

The "theft" thing is some kind of VIN etching combined with so sort of insurance sort of thing. They have some brochures about what exactly it does. This isn't an Acura thing, it's something Ron Tonkin is selling.

I didn't buy from RT so I couldn't say, but 99% sure you can buy the "Protection Package" cheaper online, possibly close to 50% of their price.

<edit> Oh, just wanted to mention that the internet sales guys at both Ron Tonkin and Acura of Portland, both came in under MSRP, $1100 and $1250 respectively. But at both places the regular sales guy wouldn't move below $250 under MSRP.
Can anyone post their respective e-mails (RT and A of P)? Or the method which I can get their e-mails? Thanks!

I don't have the emails anymore, but you can get an email quote by going through Acura.com. Just build a TSX like you want and then when you finish and are at the Summary page, one of your choices is to "Request a quote". You'll be asked for contact info and you DON'T have to supply your phone number if you don't want to, just name address and email addy.

Should get quotes in a day or so. Once you've gotten the quote the emails usually go a lot quicker. Good luck!
