Ice box uni filter

Where can I get a spare uni filter for Comptech's Ice Box? I figure I better get one now before it's impossible since they're going out of business. I looked online but can't seem to find a vendor.

I thought it was a reusable filter.

Yes, it is. I bought a replacement just in case if the filter is damaged by road debris or damaged by me lol.

I called Comptech to buy just the uni filter in case of replacement but they're not picking up and their voicemail is full. I'm getting the feeling they've already checked out, considering all the talk about them going out of business. Without further support and development I don't think I'd purchase any lingering Comptech products even if they are discounted. If you run into any issues in the future you're assed-out. I remember seeing some of these uni filters for the icebox on Ebay before but even those aren't around anymore. If I ever run into a situation where my uni filter is shot (supposedly they're lifetime but you ALWAYS run into something), I guess I'll have no choice but to go Injen.

He told me that indeed they only have 5 employees now and that they should shut the doors by early April. If you call they are still selling parts and there will be no sale since there is a higher demand for the parts now and they are selling at retail. If you don’t get through, keep trying. He might just be on the phone with someone like me. He said most of the finished parts are already out the door. He said that most of what is left in the warehouse will most likely be sold to some other company so we can still get parts and service, nothing will be thrown out once the doors are shut. He does not know who this will be at this time but assured me he would post on every major board exactly what is going to happen with the company, its parts supply, and what we can do for service either good or bad. For those of you with blowers, he said that any major service is performed by http://www.magnusonproducts.com/mp62.htm if you send it to CT and that you can simply send it directly to Magnuson for future service, i.e. the 70000 service. I just got mine back from comptech and it was $105 for the service and $80 total for shipping just so you guys know what it should cost. I can’t wait to put my blower on. The suspense is killing me. Hope this helps, Jim

keep calling, I talked to Nate today. Sounds like they have very few parts for the TSX left besides springs.

I will post the info about them closing in the relevant thread:

FYI, the K&N drop-in filter fits/works fine with the Icebox with a minor modification (weatherstripping).
