I have more to say.

I am sorry if i offended anybody but what i said is my opinion about my car. I truly think my car is bad. I am not saying that it is the worst but with all the problems i have been experiencing with it, you could understand where im coming from. And i do believe that a german car beats a japanese car in every aspect any day of the week. I understand your favoritism toward your car and the jappanese car companies but this doesnt mean you have to be naive. I do think that the Acura TSX is the best value for the price but the prblems that have plauged mine show me how far behind the jappanese are compared to the germans. Like i said. Sorry to offend anyone but this is my opinion.

My family has had several German cars. Right now, we have 3: Audi A6, VW GTI, and VW Golf.

We also have 3 Japanese cars: Acura TSX, Toyota 4Runner, and Mistsubishi Pajero. The Japanese models have had the best reliability -- and we will continue to buy Japanese.

Maybe try looking into the lemon laws in your state to see if you can get rid of it that way?

Not all Japanese cars are equal. I have had 2 new acuras and 1 new honda in the last four years, and the TSX is by far the most feature rich car, but has by far the worst build quality. As the unfixable (at least according to the dealership) rattles drive me crazy, I often wish I held on to my problemless 2000 prelude.

My TSX also has rattles, but the instrument cluster doesn't die 3 times in a week, the seat belts don't have to be cut so I can leave the car, the water nozzles can be adjusted by the owner instead of the dealer (at $80/hr), the door trims don't fall apart within 10K miles, the remote doesn't die within 2 weeks, etc., etc., etc.

I preffer my TSX.

The best way to prevent problems is to not buy a first year production car. Period.

I love German cars, I have owned quite a few and actually have had excellent reliability even in my M3s, BUT when you get past the anecdotal it is hard to compare German reliability with Japanese reliablility (particularly Toyota and Honda). In the end German cars have a passionate drive that Japanese manufacturers are just approaching but still don't have (the Italians still have the ultimate grip on that). You must accept you apparently received a TSX with poor QC, which is the exception rather than the rule. I have a E36 M3 with 120k miles on it (with maybe 5000 of those on the track) and it has only had one non-maintenance/wear and tear visit to the dealer for a window regulator at 47k, that is also the exception rather than the rule.

If you replace the TSX with a Merc or Bimmer then you will likely get a more trouble free car, not because they are more statistically reliable but because you got a real lemon of a TSX.

man, this troll is hilarious...

A 16 year old telling us about his automotive experiences and how he believes that his opinions outweigh facts and reports by major publications.

Can't even start into this kid...
BTW, if it's sooooo bad, seriously, consider the lemon law...

Junkster, whose adopting this troll as a pet

I'm sick of trolls. At age of 16, you'd better off getting a bicycle. I heard it's rattle free.

I have a solution to the rattles issue: park your car on a busy street, and have it rear-ended. 50 days in the shop, but now my car is rattle-free..... which actually makes me nervous. I figure one of three things happened: 1) the body shop assumed the rattles were caused by the accident and fixed them 2) the rattles were 'knocked out' of the car 3) divine intervention by the car gods, who figured I'd had it rough enough
