I cant wait for my new TSX.
Hey i dont understand why some people order their TSX like 3 months in advance.
But i got mine last night...through the paper work and i should get it this friday.
It is carbon gray auto w/navi...it just got here in Los Gatos Ca. monday. Because
it is a hot item. i tried to negotiate with the sales person and all the cost of the
car is 31,960. Is it a good deal or can i negotiated lower than that? The Navi. is
awsome...i will have more fun with it this weekend. The 3 cars that i checked out
before commited to the TSX are...330ci BMW, IS 300, and this TSX . By far the TSX
is loaded with options compare to the other 2, and for the right price too.
I got one question to ask you guys...i usually change my oil and oil filter at around
3000 miles...but the manual of this car says that under normal driving the TSX
should be changing about every 10,000 miles. What you guys think?
By the way this is my first time on this site...after reading all your messages it
helped me out alot on what to choose in certain cars. Thanks for your info.

I think $31,960 is very high (thats US currency?).
At least it's high for a 2004. Not sure what the supply / demand thing is like for the 2005's.

i just got my first oil change today at 9800 miles, and there is a noticeable difference, the engine is much smoother compared to yesterday, so i would recommend oil changes more towards the 5k mark than 10k. by no means am i a severe driver, as defined by the manual, yet the engine sounds like night and day after the oil change.
i had to check the manual many times to make sure i was reading it correctly. never have i seen a recommended 10k spread for oil changes. maybe if ur like my grandma, and drive about as fast as a rollerblader or jogger, then u should opt for the 10k oil change.

+545 for dealer prep and delivery. If he paid for wheel locks and mats or anything like that, it could have increased the price.
I got a similar bad deal when I bought my TSX a year and a half ago. But, I got a ridiculously good price on the trade. Dealer gave me about $500 more for the trade than I was getting anyplace else (I was getting offers between $6300 and $6500 and he gave me $7000). I raise this point because you often need to know all the details of a deal to figure out what happened.

for 8,000 and Los Gatos dealer wants to take it for 10,500..and i still owed 11,035
on it...so the total amount for the TSX at the end was extra 500 dollars on top of
the car cost.

Who did you get your quote @ Los Gatos from? I just bought a 2005 TSX for 30,600 (including tax/title/etc) so I think your quote is a little high. I think you can get a lot lower. The configuration you want is not uncommon (AT with navi) ...

I couldn't agree more. The money is gone now, so enjoy the ride and don't worry about it!

Until this year (cause the free service went away) MB's interval was 15K. BMW interval is around that too. But both of those start off with synthetic and have 7-8 qt oil pans.
