How much did you pay for your oil change at your Dealer?
Just got my first oil change at 3645 miles at my dealer and I was wondering how they can charge $27+ only which included a nice car wash and wheel shine when I read others on this board paying for over $30+ just for their own cost, doing their own oil change?

Its 50 for a synthetic oil change and a new filter. They also give you a complentary car wash. They also check at your car when its on the lift to make sure everyone is ok with it.

Lucky b**tards... we pay $200 here for the damn oil change, and no guaranteed car wash. Also, warranty is void if we don't have the stupid service history book stamped by the dealer.

i think because Acura dealerships are independently owned they set their own pricing and there is no standard. I've checked with one of the local dealers and they gave me $39.99 price quote.

So as a follow-up, anybody find out if the oil filters these Acura dealers (in my case, in Tennessee) put in OEM filters or some crappy filters? (ie. you've decided to do it yourself and put in synthetic oil and had to get the oil filter out yourself on your second or subsequent changes)
They better be OEM Honda/Acura filters.
Guys, keep posting what you've been charged and in what area. I went to Gary Force Acura. They were very professional and quick. I got lost going there (even though it was my third trip ) and was late about 15mins. Kinda wish I had purchased the navi!
It was not even 40mins when I got my car back, all washed, vacuumed and tires shined to boot! They were really busy so I didn't expect the washing car, let alone shining my tires! Goes to show you how low of an expectation I had for dealers in general As part of their service, I was told that they check the tire pressures too! Wow. I can get used to this.
Anyway, I think it's in everyone's interest to post how much they paid for oil changes so that those dealers that charge an exorbitant price can become competitive as nobody here will give them their business to drive prices down to a 'normal' level

No Acuras here. That $200 is the Honda dealer price!!! Our service interval is still 6 month/7000miles. It's a rip off. In the states, you can keep your oil receipts and stuff as proof of service. You can't do that here. And if you do your own servicing and don't fill up the logbook with dealer stamps, it's almost impossible to claim any engine warranty and your resale value falls by about $1000 because there is no proof of servicing (most people won't touch cars without a filled service log book)

Let me help you!
My oil change at Keyes Acura in Van Nuys cost $29.95 (they had a coupon on their website). It included the filter, and they looked my car over (even told me I had 95% left on my brakes). They also washed the car, and I didn't notice any scratches or problem from the car wash.
I think Acura dealers always do a car wash by default (maybe to give us the luxury feel of a dealership? Or maybe to keep all the acuras near them looking clean/good?)

In Maryland ,it's $28.00 with dealer coupon , $32.00 without the coupon and you get a free car wash. I caution anyone that may visit certain Acura dealer in Howard county. Last time, I had the dealer buff out scratches from my entire car because detailers used the wrong brush! If I didn't checked the car out before I left the premise it would have been me trying to get the scratches out. Watch out !

I had mine done for I think $35 in Austin at David McDavid, since I had some warranty work that needed to be done anyways. I'm back in Tampa now though, and Ferman wants $93 for an oil change! So I'm just getting it done at the local lube place instead, there's no way I'm paying that much.

Cerritos Acura (Southern California) quoted me $37.50 for an oil change and multi-point inspection (complimentary car wash included). I provided my own oil (Mobil 1) and they charged me $31.50 (tax included).

I think I am going to buy the Helm's manual, at least to know what the heck they're going to do at the stealership so I can tell the what/what not to do to save some cash.

Well....a lotta good it did me to bring that coupon to my dealer last night (it was a coupon for $29.99 for an oil change). I don't know why they advertised it like that since $29.99 is their normal price, lol. Oh well, at least I'm not getting ripped off like a lot of people seem to be for a simple oil change.

i totally recommend shopping around for dealer services. i recently had my 10k service, i got it done for $60 + tax, while the dealer i got my car from quoted me for $90 + tax (maybe they were trying to make up for the complimentary oil change they gave me).

PA/NJ area - How is Elite (was Sussman) Acura?
Time for my first oil change (actually according to MID, ~400 miles past due). I called Elite Acura (used to be Marty Sussman Acura), they quoted I think $33.95. They just sent out an email with a 10% off coupon, so that would drop it to ~$30 or so.
However I remember that Sussman offers a 'Sussman Advantage', which advertises itself as offering:
- first oil and filter change (when in for 1st scheduled maintenance (which is the oil and filter change, duh!))
- service loaner program (when in for scheduled maintenance)
- free pickup and drop off (within 5 miles)
- priority service appointments (sounds like they'll squeeze you in over people who didn't buy at Sussman)
- wiper inserts for life
- express detail in first year of ownership.
I guess what I'm looking for is:
1. For people that bought at Sussman, are these benefits legitimate?
2. For people that bought at the Maple Shade Sussman Acura dealership, any change since it become Elite Acura?
