After looking around and advice from the site here I am looking at the VIS (or whoevere) carbon fiber hood and a mugen grill for my 04. I do not want the chrome strip (04 & 05 models) on the front edge of the hood or I will paint it. I am just trying to determine if the 06 hood (no strip at the front) will fit on my 04 or if they are different around the grill/lights??

I have an 05 tsx and got a 06 vis cf hood and it fits perfectly. But I also got the 2006 front grill and bumper keeping my 05 headlights. I doubt it will be a problem.

See if you have the front grille and bumper for the 06 then of course it will fit. The fitment problem on the hoods between the years has been the grille and the small "legs" of the fascia that come up in between the grille and headlamps. The size changed from 04-06

Also keep in mind that hood requires hood clamps to keep it on which is ugly IMO. I read on a site selling that hood that it doesn't use the stock latch system.

Is the VIS hood all carbon or is the underside fiberglass like most other CF hoods?
