Looks too much of a dramatic change to be the next Accord or the next TSX. Something like that would go into production in the generation after the next one maybe.
I don't know. It looks sweet though.

That thing is gorgeous. I also saw a write up in USAToday. I think it may be a reality next year. If that is the direction Honda/Acura is going then their up coming products are going to steam roll the competition. I'd consider trading in my 05 TL for that Honda coupe.

The sedan will be much more sedate, but they'll push the design for the coupe. Looking at the pics, I expect the trunk, exhaust, wheels and maybe the roofline to change for production, but the concept looks almost production-ready.
I'm also surprised with the design of the front-end. Very Dodge Charger/Magnum like, which means bad aerodynamics... bad aerodynamics normally mean bad gas mileage, which is not very Honda-like, despite VDC being planned for the V6.

It's funny that you posted this - when I saw this Accord Coupe concept this evening, my reaction was, "WOW! That is a HOT car!!!" If the next Accord really will be like this, maybe I am trading in my TSX for this! Unless, the next TSX will be even hotter than this.... which I hope it will be!
BTW, I assume that this is the North American version of the Accord, and the Japanese and European version will be different. In fact, did I remember correctly that it was said by some Honda official recently that the next TSX will be different from the new Japanese/European Accord? I know that we have seen the Sports 4 Concept this year - would you rather that be the new Japanese/European Accord, or the new TSX, assuming that they will be different?
I just can't wait to see the next generation TSX!!!!!!!!!

sweeet design!! mroe of an Acura style than a honda however in terms of USDM. acura cars have those chinky rectangular lights. instead of dramatically changing the accords design, maybe release under acura as a replacement of the rsx? i dunno its juss my opinion. cuss heck itll be a great replacement for the rsx! or sumin close to that.

Looks like the next Accord Coupe would look like that concept. I doubt that the TSX will be like this concept unless Acura shifts away from using JDM models and instead cannibalizing USDM Honda models.

As the kids say, "hizzot."
I disagree with the video and some early posts about this being too risky of a design for Honda. The last few gens of the Accord SEDAN have been snoozers. But the two coupes have been sharp. Much more than their 4-door brethren. This a natural direction for the design to go.
As for accurately predicting the real deal, history says "yes." The Civic Si concept was pretty much identical to the production version.

Looks like a mish-mash of different cars. I see Hyundai, BMW, plenty of Audi, and a smattering of something else that I can't put my finger on.
What I DON'T see however, is any Honda!
No disrespect, but this smacks of another US design house trying to emulate European design.
I honestly hope and pray this never gets signed-off on under Honda or Acura branding.
Would kill the brand stone dead IMO - especially if destined for Acura's first foray into non US/Canada waters.

Is the new honda Accord due this fall and TSX & TL next fall??
This coupe will give the TSX & TL owners something to think about...Time for a good coupe with the RSX gone...

Someone stole "My Garage"
I think its an incredible looking car. Hopefully the new TSX is a more chiseled version of that general style.
Although for some reason I see some 2nd-gen Tiburon in the front quarter panel and door area... no idea where I get that from -- maybe the strong crease/line around the beltline?
Anyone know if the new Accord will have SH-AWD as an option with the V6?

For those of you wondering what this is, its 80-90% of what the next gen (out this fall) Accord coupe will look like. The sedan as always will likely look very similar especially the front end.
The Civic Si was released in the same way. A concept that was 90% production ready made the rounds last year until the production version was released.
This car has nothing to do with the next gen TSX, although they'll likely share the platform.

Car looks great but it reminds me of somethings from the new Lexus IS. Overall huge improvement over the current Gen Accord. I can't wait to see the official prototype TSX.

I've read on other forums people getting upset that there is alot of resemblance to a host of cars. I can say I see it too, but to be honest, that car looks good. If anything, only the honeycomb grill looks low rent for this design.
Most importantly, the car will sell on looks. The buying public is nowhere near as concerned as some at on the mimicry.

To add, if the Accord coupe looks this nice, the TSX coupe/sub 40-50000 coupe better look really hawt.

if it has a honda badge on it, most likely it will not be an acura, seeing as acura now has their own design facility and teams. From my understanding, the time where acura rebadges foreign hondas is over, they will now be doing completely new designs.

I remember the TL concept also being 90% of the 04 TL redesign (we all know about the Civic concept). It looks like Honda is sticking to their concepts. I might just wait for this to come out before I purchase my next car. It might not be an Acura, but it's close 'nough.

I would buy that car TOMORROW.
Of course it would have to have an ACURA TSX badge instead of the Accord!
