Her first checkup, free oil change? courtesey acura sanford, fla.

okay, so wed is the appointment, shes goin in for her oil change at 5100 miles. theyre going to fix the wire thing in the trunk and theyre gunna look at the windshield crack noise. im thinking of just waiting until the fix comes out, i dont feel like waiting all the time while some guy drives around in my car trying to make my windshield crack.

hmmm is there anyhting i should know about any of this? ive read mosta ure expirences.

hmmm, yes i almost forgot, we some how worked in a free oil change with this, you think if i ask for synthetic theyll put it in? i take it that its not mobil one right? or is it something else?

one last thing, i never got a cargo net. do you think id be able to get them to toss one in the trunk before i leave? mines the courtesy acura of sanford fla.

thnx guys

I don't know if they have synthectic oil at the dealership. If they do, it wouldn't hurt to ask if you could pay the difference in cost. Maybe they'll tell you not to worry about it. About the cargo net, if you already have one or are planning on buying one, they might install it, but they aren't just handing out free accessories.

yeah im gunna hassle them a bit, when i bought my car they kinda just handed me outa the dealership. so he said he "owes" me some gas or something. that and he keeps calling my dad to come n hell buy coffee (he just wants to sell him another car). but yeah u bought ure cargonet online?

how much did u pay for it? im pretty sure i can install the cargo net, doesnt seem too difficult (lol id hope its not too difficult, its a cargonet).

btw, how did u like how they sold u the car? our salemen got offended when my dad started thossing up low numbers. we almost walked out! very very interesteing

i got it in one of those group buys awhile ago so it was like $20. you have to drill holes for the hooks with a hole saw. since i didnt have a hole saw and didnt want to risk drilling something i wasnt suppose to i just decided to pay for it. if you feel comfortable installing then thats fine

my saleman was pretty nice, probably because i didn't haggle too much at that time. i leased my TSX since i was using it for work at that time. my guy was robert rosser, who was yours?

EDIT: btw, are you looking for rims? i have some for sale

Wait, mine already has the little silver hooks inside the trunk. Please tell me that it came with a cargo net and the dealership took it out (and probably sold it to someone). Or is it possible to have those hooks and not have the actually net?

Just get one from Pepboys or something - though usually the ends are loops, not hooks. I just bought plastic hooks/straps and wrapped some velcro around them and the cargo net loop. Now I have a net that lays out flat, anchored at the 4 trunk loop attach points.

well it was a success. i guess i was a sort of noob with the whole dealer oil change. pulled her in there and was a bit reluctant to give up the keys. synth was like 25 bucks more and i have what is it 8000 miles b4 i hafta do another change? oh well, tues i go back to get the service pack checked out n done.
They were much nicer then i thought they would be. im expecting yakno the whole your a teenager heres ure change get outa here, but they were very professional, and wanted to keep me happy.
first driving with the new oil, i dont know if its the oil or sitting there for an hour bored, but the car felt a bit smoother....i think it has alot to do with the new oil compared to the oil that the factory put in. its definately a much darker amber color, as opposed to the almost yellow stuff that was in there when i got her. so oh well, it runs nice. on the way home filled the half tank up to full with shell V-Power. decided to try some of that too, it was cheaper than the rest too.....these back country gas stations make me leery tho =/

oh well.
