Help please - I F'd my not an ashtray area

I attempted to install my own amp tonight, and it didn't go quite as planned

I routed my wires fine, but I hit a major SNAFU trying to setup my remote turn on wire... pulling out my 'not an ashtray' to attach the wire to the 12v lead there. I didn't realize you had to pull the entire shifter/cupholder area out to get to 2 screws there (bottom 2 of 4) and I only removed the top 2 of 4 screws holding it in.

Now, I managed to get it wedged out of place (but not broken, thank god), and I cannot either get it back into place, or get the shifter / cupholder part up and out. I'm at a total loss and it looks like I've butchered my car. Without taking it into the dealer and crying for help, what should I do next?

DC area people, I would especially appreciate a helping hand this weekend to resolve this problem. It would be amply (pun intended) rewarded... at least with a free lunch and some drinks.

Others... help and ideas please. I'm beating myself up over this.
Reference: pages 2 and 3 of this manual: https://www.hondacuraworld.com/Merch...attachment.pdf

That's where I got the right directions for not an ashtray removal *after* I had already F'd mine up. Sigh. Thanks.

You're going to have to change the sticker to say "NOT A DIY PROJECT" instead of "NOT AN ASHTRAY"

On a serious note, can you post pictures of exactly what it looks like in your car right now?

Aye, pictures would have been helpful. I was too tired and frustrated last night to post any. I'm at work without a camera but I'll post some tonight.

I like the sticker idea though. It'll be a good story every time someone says... "what the hell does that mean"

At first, I thought you were going to say that you used it as an ashtray.

Pics wil be posted, but in the mean time, can you elaborate any on how to get the center console out? I saw the 'back end of a pair of pliers' method, but its not working for me. I can pop the nearest clip in the back, but no matter how hard I pull I can't pop any other ones out.
