Headliner Rattles

Headliner Rattles
During my short time viewing the forums I have seen various posts regarding rattles. I've had the car for approx. 3 weeks now and have identified the roof's headliner as the source of the rattles. Is anyone experiencing a similar situation?

Ya. That's one source of rattling. Mine does it when it's pulled back. I have driver's window, right passenger door and right front dashboard as additional sources of rattling. Maybe my car is haunted...Still love the car anyway...

Not an Ashtray
If you are having rattles in the sunroof shade (which I think is the main issue in the headliner) that is easily fixed. You just need to apply Vinlyex or 303 to the gasket around the sunroof. The fault tolerances are very low in the TSX, and the gaskets are close to the roof. So, you can get some rubbing. If there is grit or dirt on the gaskets, and the gaskets are not smooth and slippery, you'll get noise. With about 15 minutes of effort, I've managed to get 100% elimination of the problem.
