I have a 1999 TL and my 05 TSX. The other day the TL starter died and while I was replacing the starter, a slight breeze came by and then all of a sudden the hood started to drop hard and fast. I have a huge bruise on my arm but if I was working on the car from the side or let the hood pick up speed, I could have been seriously hurt.

I'm glad the TSX doesn't use the gas props.

Best shocks ever and I can tell you 1 of them can hold the hood alone, so if there is a failure of one, you won't get hurt. FYI, you can tell if one isn't working because the lift and drop is more significant. As with MrChad, we've had ours for a while and absolutely top quality with no issues. I'll clean the piston rods with a little WD40 if I see any dirt. Trust me, these are a great product.

I'll take a clamshell that tilts foreward with no struts or sticks.

Struts are better than sticks.

Sticks are so cvcc
