Has anyone driven BOTH the TSX and Euro-Accord?
I went to the UK Honda site last night and looked at the Euro-Accord closely for the first time - wow! It was virtually identical... (OK, that's just my ignorance, alright!? LOL)
Now, with the TSX, the engine has more horsepower than their sporty R model. Apart from that, I wonder if the suspension, steering etc are basically the same? Or have they also been refined for the TSX?
I am very impressed by the fit and finish of the TSX (apart from the rattling, of course! LOL). I noticed that the Euro-Accord has different dashboard design and standard fabric seats. However, apart from those, do they also have the same quality interior materials and finish as our TSX?
It's amazing that we have to get this car on the premium, luxury division of Honda here in NA, while it's just the regular Accord elsewhere!

The 6sp Euro Accord Type S and the Euro Accord Executive is the starting off point of the NA TSX.
The Euro R Accord has 220 hp and a smaller engine... so don't know where you get that the TSX has more HP?

AFTSX, that sounds great! Make sure you keep us posted!!!
DEVO, I am sorry that I was confused... I just checked again. The UK Accord I was referring to was the Type-S, which does have a lower horsepower output of 190hp only. The Japanese Accord Euro-R, on the other hand, was the one with the 2.0L engine and a higher horsepower of 220hp. So the TSX is somewhere in the middle.
I just wonder if these 3 cars have rather different, or absolutely the same handling? Also, in terms of interior luxury, is the TSX a step up from the other two?
I read in the Whatcar? site that in the UK, the new Accord is considered an "upscale" model now. So the pricing of the 2.4 Executive and 2.4 Type-S models are close to the lower end BMW 3 series and Audi A4 over there. Furthermore, they thought that the UK Accord was a big car! And we thought that the TSX was small here in the US... Very interesting indeed.

Can't seem to edit my post... so I'll add here. To answer your question about whether the TSX is a step up... the short anser is yes.
Like I said above... the NA TSX is based off of the Euro Accord Executive (this is the starting point, they add from this point to get the TSX).
