Hardest color to touch-up or match?

Does anyone know which tsx colors would be harder to touch up or match if you had to repair or replace body panels? Are there any colors in particular that just definately won't look right after an accident no matter how good the shop is that you take it to?

I guess more specifically, would either of the blue colors, black or red be especially hard? I'm finding myself somewhat partial to the ABP color but in the brochure it looked like it had little flakes in it, and I know sometimes colors like that are more of a PITA if you do have to touch up etc.

The white pearl is the hardest to touch up and repaint. The reasson why is it is 3 stage, base coat pearl coat and clear coat.

Silver is a pain. I found working on my black TSX very easy. I had a bid hole on the hood from a rock, and only one swipe of the paint made it disappear. No need to spend more time on it.

On the other hand, my TSX is always dirty.

more than likely. Milano Red is also a 3 stage paint process.

All pearl colors are like that, and Milano Red is not 3 stage it is 2 stage.

All the pearl colors are impossible to match cause of those flakes in the paint. The touch up is the same color, but in doesn't have the same depth.

Carbon grey can look green or bluish in different lighting, but touched up areas always look grey.

Any color will be hard to match if you know there is a ding and you can't get your mind off from it. That said, I have the ABP and it isn't THAT hard to match if you have a small ding, since at certain angle, the touched-up spot is blended in the dark shadows of the car. If you have a ding near the creases of the body panel then it almost disappears. It really depends on the location of the ding/scatch, and the lighting.

Thanks for the input guys. This makes the color choosing a bit more tricky... I guess the slightly easier touch-up of the non pearl black puts it a nose ahead of the ABP, but then again black gets dirty looking 10 minutes after a wash. Hrm. /strokes beard that isn't there.

Heh, no kidding. Guess I just never noticed them... I always wondered why it said 'pearl' and it looked like a solid color (from a distance).
