Got the TSX absolutely love it
Hi guys, this is my first post on this forum, and after three days (actually two and a half) of owning my new TSX im glad to see a place for the owners to hang and talk about our new rides!!!!
Lil bit about me, im 25, names Dan and I live in Palm Beach County Florida. Work for a bank as a Financial Specialist, and after owning a Audi a4 for four years I was hooked on German cars (even tho my first was a Acura GSR). Actually went to a Volkswagon dealer to purchase a Passat GLX (believe it or not I had not seen the TSX yet). Put the app in at the VW dealer, and had the approved loan, and was about to pick up my car on friday when I just happened to pick up the latest issue of Car and Driver (havent bought this is years) and didnt even realize the review of the TSX. Thank GOD I read the whole mag on my lunch break and got to the article on the TSX. Like I said im 25, conservative job, and I guess I was falling into the mold of the "typical" boring banker!!!!
Got on the phone with VW dealer, and told them to hold off, and then called the salesmen who sold me my GSR and told him I wanted to check this machine out. Funny thing is, he remembered me and told me I had to come check this out because this car was screaming my personality (salesmen talk to get me in) needless to say I saw it and made up my mind even before I drove it.
Got the nighthawk black(batmobile fetish of mine) with ebony leather (more like a dark dark grey) with a spoiler, Tiptronic no NAV because he wasnt getting one for three weeks and I had to get a car this week, but oh well, still love it....I get lots of looks, and everyone wants to ride with me during lunch (wonder why)......for those who dont have it yet ( I sorta envy you, because the first day is the best) its super smooth, super quiet compared to my Audi (surprising) and every complaint I ever had about my GSR about the interior layout and design was answered elegantly, but still with a hint of coolness.
The Silver trim is defintely a must, and my reccomendation is not to get the parchment because of how dirty it can get without regular care.
Sorry for making this so long, but I could actually keep going.....but I wont, just wanted to share my silly story with everyone!!!! Congrats to all who've got one, and good luck to all who want one =)

Don't apologize. I didn't even have to wait 2 weeks for my TSX (pick it up next week, ordered it July 4th) and I still can't wait!! Ramble on all you want, all you are doing is reiterating what everyone else has said already, and it is so nice to hear it over and over. Makes me so much more anxious!!!

Congrats, zero. I was just as enthusiastic when I got mine, and still. Heck, I was almost just as enthusiastic BEFORE I got it, even before I ever saw it, just from all that I read about the car on this site. (No, actually it was the OLD site, the one that turned out to suck. If you don't know that story, well, don't worry about it.)
I spend some time in P.B. county myself (family there) -- in fact, just got back from there on Sunday. I still remember all the excitement/chaos there in Nov. 2000. I signed up to count votes but they already had vote-counters coming out of their ears.
BTW: What was a GSR????

Thanks larch.....Acura should film me for a commercial, because every five minutes i get up from my desk and look for a reason to walk into my garage and admire....
GSR was a 97 Integra GSR...I always call it GSR because to me people appreciate it more when you mention a car with VTEC

Kmlpatel, see that... batmobile.... ebony leather (hideout aka the bat cave)! You have to appreciate black cars to understand!

Nice story! I'm getting my car tomorrow or the day after, I can't wait!! I've got to figure out where to go after I get the car. I'm thinking about some twisty roads on the road to Half Moon Bay.

In-fact, 2 months tomorrow.
The parchment has been a pleasure ..... Holding up extremely well. All it needs is regular care .... just like the ebony.
Car turns heads practically every day... when I show it off, I ALWAYS hear how great the interior looks in parchment / tan!
Anyway ... congrats on your new wheels.
