Got rear-ended....2 screw dents on bumper!!
Man.....got rear-ended today.....was stopped at red light waiting to turn into mall...and this civic comes along and hits me from behind.
Snow was on the ground and said he couldnt stop in time....told him didnt matter, snow on ground u drive slower and keep your distance.
No one was hurt in car as i guess with the on the ground i slid forward. My baby was in the car but we just got a mild jolt.
Damage??
What u guys think?? I told him i have to go check the out out later too see if there's any damge as the car is dirty n it was only a 3 month old car.
Is it just only a repaint job? The paint layer is rubbed off and you can see the bare bumper.

I feel your pain. I got hit with less than 1000 miles on the car. When I was hit, the screw from the person's plates went though my bumper, so I got a new bumper. Just make sure you have the guys at the body shop look behind the bumper to see if there is any additional damage. In my case, I was lucky and just needed a new bumper.

That looks like a quick repaint should be under $300 easy, well under $500 even at the pricest of shops. This is assuming nothing got bent on a bracket or anything.

I don't think you need a new bumper.

I wouldn't get it repaint for something that minor. OEM paint is always better than the aftermarket stuff. Plus, you will always run into problems with color match on plastic parts (bumpers). I have seen countless cars with miss matching body parts, most often the bumper.
One of my co-worker got rear ended on his 01 Accord, which was Satin Silver. You would think that was a easy color to match but the shop had to repaint it TWICE and it still didn't match perfect like the OEM stuff. And this was from a supposedly from dealer recommended bodyshop. So just a heads up before you think about repainting the bumper.

The quote i got from is an authorized auto collision shop for Land Rover, Volvo, Acura and Jaguar.
When i saw those plaques on the wall, it shows that this shop does quality work and im certain they can paint the bumper to the factory premium white...
I callled the guy and gave him til tomorrow morning to decide whether he's gonna pay cash or go through insurance...

And a white car, is very easy to match almost as easy as black.
