Ok, the 20's are out to the question (bad ride, bad resale, heavy, ect) but I for sure want to chrome the stock alloy's already on there. I got a quote for 159$ a wheel from westernchrome.com plus 18$ a piece for the center caps. He said that I would get charged full price for the chrome rims that are already on the car and he would mail them to me and then when I got them I would mail him mine as an exchange and would be credited back the money! What do ya'll think of choroming the rims already on there and this process with westernchrome.com????????

it's your car, you can do whatever you like. But honestly, I think chrome is ghetto and old style. Chrome was like a thing in the late 80s early 90s. SUVs still look ok with them, if you get them like 20". Doesn't seem like a bad deal if you want to paint your wheels. I would suggest buying other chrome wheels, so at least you still can sell your car with the stock rims.

I don't know if you all are following me. All i'm doing is chroming the rims already on there. EXACT SAME RIM JUST CHROME! Believe me it looks good with the Nighthawk Black and 15% tint all the way around... Not everybody cares about speed and all the fast and furious wannabees.

I don't know why you would want to draw more attention to those ugly stock rims, that is one of the only things I am disappointed with about the TSX. I think they looked at the standard rims on the 325i an thought that would be a good idea, but those are God awful too. The optional "silver stars" would be ok if they were not painted.

rb4580, I for one am with you. I started a thread previously on the wheels and tires section.
http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/show...=&threadid=687
Not saying I would do it for sure, but I was curious what it would look like and how much Acura would charge for it. Personally I think they might look classy. I guess I'd have to see it.

They are still waiting to put in a new server here that will allow easier posting of pictures. For now it needs to be posted somewhere else on the net with a link placed on this site or maybe provench can do it for you. Anyone out there able to do this for rb4580?

Chroming AL wheels = extra weight = chrome and nickel plate are heavy = chrome and nickel plate tarnish = Shiney wheel with dull center caps = heavy, funny looking, and extra maintnence = bad IMO
(159 x 4){636.00} + sell old wheels and tires on ebay (~$750.00)
= 1386.00 This is enough money to get some sweat looking 18" alloys and tires in a package from any well known tire dealer.
Say? RacingHart 1pc. 18"s wheels and some nice Michelin or Yokohama tires. If you want them even cheaper get Kumho tires or stay with a 17" rim. Your call.

That actually looks pretty good. However, I am not a fan of chrome wheels on cars, but I would like to get the factory wheels polished. Now I think that would look a lot better than the painted wheels...

I can deal with having to polish the wheels to keep them looking good...I just think it looks better than painted wheels personally. I never understood why they put painted wheels on a performance car when a nice set of polished wheels would spruce it up so much. (I know it's probably price related)
