good price?
One of my friends is trying to buy a used TSX from the dealership.
Specs:
04 18K miles
no navi
and damage to the rear bumper. it's a big hole in the back passanger side, most likely the bumper has to be replaced. when they originally listed it, they were asking $23K. now even with the damage, for some reason, they are still asking 23K and they will "take care" of the damage.
My friend says he will buy as is, and thinking of $18K out the door. Good price?

For that kinda damage...I don't think the dealer will even buldge for $18K....no way they gonna sell it but it's good you can give it a shot..it will only cost them a couple hundred bucks to replaced it...and sell it as a regular preowned
But they didn't do it....so maybe there's a catch

yeah...its kind of shady that they dont just fix the bumper....ive never heard of a dealer putting a damaged car like that for sale; especially when its so easy to fix...

Me myself wouldn't risk touching that after I have seen a Lexus being rear ended during test drive and was fixed by a local dealer and sold as a regular loaner clearance...but.....it would be great if it's not too serious in this case....HOPEFULLY

A closer look revealed that the clear coating was pealing off! Looks like the car was smashed from the front, and they didn't disclose the car had been in an accident. Furthermore, they stayed away from discussing repairing the back bumper. This dealership sucks man! Fairbanks Sawgrass

It would have been fine if they disclosed all that - but to not mention it and then still ask 23K - that's just wrong. And then dealers wonder why people think so lowly of them

I have never heard of a reputable dealer, especially a dealer of a premium brand like Acura, selling a car with that kind of damage.
There definitely seems to be a piece missing from that picture!

But dealers are just like a chain of franchise...
