Thanks to everyone...it's nice to know you are all out there somewhere sharing my enthusiasm!
I get my baby on Wednesday, but got to see her yesterday when I went to sign papers. Got a little misty already and she wasn't even cleaned up yet. (My hubby has already named the voice on the Navi "Sharon." I thought that was funny.)
As for why it took so long, as someone up there guessed, had to get finances in order. I changed jobs just after the TSX was released and I work on commission, so pretty much had to start from scratch. Once the Honda was paid off, I went for it. Yes, we love, love our Honda Accord and will be keeping that until the wheels fall off.
And, yes, I own the passenger seat of a CBR1000. Hubby owns the rest. Our garage is all Honda and probably will be forever. As a note, my husband and I are pretty young (29) and I think it's cool that the sales manager at Acura noticed this and commented that the reason he setteled on the deal is to hopefully get customers for life. Smart guy.
Again, thanks to all for the congratulations. I'll give you the "honeymoon" details on Wednesday.

I actually really like the OEM body kit, so may stick with that unless anyone has other suggestions. Don't want anything too wild...
As for wheels, I still don't know. I like Enkei wheels, but . I plan on staying 17", but may lower just a hair. Again, am open to suggestions. I want a silver wheel and maybe something with a 5 or 7 spoke. I want to stay under 2k for the wheels and rubber. Do-able??

I'd stress a +48 to +55 offset though.

slight lower, body kit, new 17" rims, $2000 budget for rims + tires?
You know what fits this like a T, Acura TSX A-spec package....

I've seen the wheels and suspension on ebay. That a-spec suspension is the easiest shock-spring install ever.
I found the suspension here, but I've seen it for as low as $450 on ebay from dealers. www.acuraparts247.com ($600)
could you deal with this? I think this car has the euro nose, but your's would look awefully close given the wheels and suspension. I really like these wheels. 17x7.5" run a 235-45-17 tire.
You might be able to deal with your dealer for the entire A-spec kit all at once too. I think if I recall the entire kit is in the ~$4000 msrp range.

I think we should see if we can have a meet and tour at Real Time Racing in WI if they give tours and have an off race weekend.

I don't regret the Navi at all. Even if I'm only jazzed for the next couple of weeks and then get bored with it--it's still worth it. I love how the radio controls come up on the screen, too. No one we know can believe that our car talks. it also looks cool at night...

Master driving up and down your street first, you'll get it.
If you'd like I'll swap you cars for a week, you can play with our sport-shift model all you'd like.
The good thing is you bought the manual, you'll definately have a passion to learn the cogs now. And once you learn it's like riding a bike.
