I dont have a clue as to how we would do that.

I am not sure myself, but there should be some way of finding out. Maybe some contact at Acura of North America. And we could go from there.

Since 10-15 cars, is what the dealers are selling for a quarter, I would think that Acura would be willing to sell 15 cars in a single transaction if we can organize this, through some dealership.

The dealership agrees since, all accessories can be bought through them, and they make their profit on those cars, that have accessories added to them.

Since we are buying from Acura, I expect the price to be near or lower than invoice, which is a great deal considering the offers we have been getting.

What do u guys think??

shouldnt take more than a month, when they do that they are trying to fuck with you, threaten lawsuit and they will be on the ball. My buddy sued his insurance company cause they took too long to issue his claim. I am not sure how long they took, but he said way too long...

my mom works for a collection agency and becoming a lawyer. she can get technical. i told her to tell them to get us a rental car (even if we don't drive it) so that there paying for everyday that they take longer. would that be a logical thing to do? so that they would hurry the process.

They are only going to have to pay for a rental car if it was in your insurance agreement. Otherwise, they will say blow off.

Can everyone do a little favor for all of us and go to their local dealership and ask if they can do better than $750 over invoice? I'm about to give up on this price. Every dealer around me has pretty much flipped me off.

Sorry ... out of the buy.

Gentlemen .... at approximately 2:00 PM today I became the proud owner of a 2005 CG MT with NAVI. As such I dont think I am going to be able to participate in the group buy ... sorry. My requirement for having a car was absolutely fixed at the middle of december and I was worried that I would not be able to find that particular configuration (I had passed on a 2004 because it was the wrong color ...).
In case anyone is wondering I paid 27999 (includes destination but another 2 grand for tax/title/etc) ... I got a quote from Tustin Acura for 28,670. It wasn't the lowest quote but they had the car I wanted (they have 3 more MT with navi if anyone in So Cal is interested). Went in and talked him down ... I know i could have saved a little more if I had waited for you guys but I didn't have the luxury of waiting that much longer. Good luck on your hunt ... I'm still subscribed to this thread.

Lukatmyshu : where is the dealership that offered you 27999? That is $1561 under MSRP which is HOT!

The price Serramonte was offering did not include destination and Andy Lee from there tells me the invoice is
"Non-Navi - $25,171.76
With Navi - $26,992.57"

Can anyone verify this? In any case, whereever Lukatmyshu got his TSX seems to be the best bet.

Pandimus : I'm willing to wait.. but let's really make a cut off date since there are people waiting.. and longer we wait.. car will keep on getting cheaper. Shall we say December 15th~20th is the negotiation days and 21st is the day we have a choice on a dealership?

how bout the 24th. The closer you pull to xmas, the less business the dealership has the more willing they are to pull away from their set price. Its all a game. Personally if i was to buy a car alone, i would wait till the 28th.

Sure ... the Dealership I got mine from was Tustin Acura (Located in Southern California). About a week ago I realized that I would probably have to get a car before the Group Buy could be mobilized (my sister is getting married soon and technically I am borrowing her car right now ... she really needs it to start arranging her wedding. I gave her a firm date that by Decembe 18th the car would be in her hands). I was able to have Bonnie @ Los Gatos Dealership do a locate on a CG MT with Navi ... actually she ran it on all MT with navi. The results in Northern California were fairly dismal ... she had one listed on inventory.

But she said these words "Yeah ... looks like all of them went to Southern California". I thanked her and immediately started emailing dealerships in So Cal ( I emailed the 5 nearest my parents house in Orange County). Of those Tustin Acura was not the lowest (I Think Yorba Linda Acura gave me a quote of 28,499) but they had the car in stock (actually they had 4 MT with Navi. Amazing considering that that represnts 50% of their TSX stock).

The quote they offered was 28,670. I flew down Saturday morning and my father and myself drove to the dealership. The rep I talked to was the Internet Sales Manager Jim MacKay (the a means he is scottish). With tax/title/etc the car was 31,188. We offered 30,000 .... he said no way. We offered 30,500. He came back and said 30,900. We said no way ... he said 30,700 ... we said 30,600. He said ok. This ended up being 27,999. plus tax/title/etc. That dealership puts in wheel locks and splash guards on all cars free-of-charge.

The reason I pulled out of the Group Buy was not so much because of the date that you guys were going to buy on .... it was the amount of time that I would have to spend AFTER that fact waiting for the car to come in. I know the list comprises a LOT of people with MT and those cars are not the most common on the lots. Add in color factors, etc and the fact that some of these dealers may not be willing to do a dealer trade (of the 4 dealers I talked to in So Cal only 1 was willing to make a trade with Tustin) ... the dealership that offers the lowest price may not be the one that is best suited to accomodate the groups requests. If I was still involved ... that would be a large factor. Personally I can stand paying 100-200 dollars more to get the car I want this week rather than a similar car 1 month from now.

Tustin Acura happened to give me a great price on this car AND they have a big selection of TSXs (7-8). More importantly, they treated us efficiently and with respect. Negotiations took all of 5 minutes. I arrived @ noon and left @ 2 with a car. I have to go there monday to drop my mothers car off for service ... if Pandimus or Kenji want I will talk to the Rep I got my car from and tell him that I know of 10 buyers who want TSXs. I'll see how much more he can knock off of the price he gave me and if what the availability of the cars is (you can see the stock online ... it was accurate as of yesterday .. if they say they have 4 MT with Navi they only have 3 now ). Again ... I'll only do this if Pandimus or Kenji want.

Wow .... long post. Sorry if bored you all.

Thats what I expected too. But am hoping we can finalize deals at around $25,500 (non-navi). Dont know how feasible that is.

Not yet, want to sell the wife's Durango first. Don't have to sell first but trying to now. We may get impaitent and just go buy the TSX real soon and still sell the D. If your still working on this group deal, let me know. Even thinking of going to Canada to get the PWP/Ebony if I can do it!.

Do you think it is possible to get the 2005 Tsx w/o Navi At for 25,500 + fees right now if I pay in full? If I wait til mid Dec, how much will the price drop by?
I'm going to look at one this weekend and possibly buy one. Just want to make sure so I don't get cheated.
Any dealers you guys recommend in Cali?
I live in Davis, my uncle live in Stockton, and my Dad lives in San Jose. Anywhere around there will be fine.
Thanks a bunch.

We don't know what price we'll be getting in Mid-December, but I can bet that it won't be as low as $25,500 for an 05 with NAVI.

Maybe, I got an 04 6MT w/o navi for $25,500 ($27,180 after fees). But since you're looking at a new TSX I don't know how great of a deal you can get. Especially since they're getting popular. I was just lucky with my find. So just keep trying all the dealers over and over with different salesmen. I called 3 dealers and one of them 4 times and talked to 3 salesmen till I got one to get the price I wanted.

Paying in full does nothing for the price. Dealers get all the money in full either way from you or the bank so from there point of view there's nothing special. If anything they'd rather have you finance since it'll help out their financing guy make some $$$. There's a good write up around here on how cars sales work.

I went to the dealer today and they said they can probably give it to me for 25500 + fees.. im trying to get 27000 out the door.. or maybe less
Is this a good price? I want a car now but also want a decent deal.
