Unhappy freakin salt machine on the hwys!

so it snowed tonite in Toronto

i'm driving along the 401.. and the damn salt machine was in the middle of the road... so i was trying to get by the damn thing going 140km... but i didn't realize the salt sprayed so damn far....
anyways, i could hear the salt tearing at the car (aka. my heart)... but when i went to check the paint and stuff and the headlights, they all looked ok..
i'm crossin my fingers that when i check the car in the morning and in the light, it will be ok.

People worry about their paint chipping, but worry not. The TSX paint is somewhat durable, and I know because my car was flawless in the front even after some generous truck spit massive amount of pebbles @70mph for a good 1/10 mile.

Yeah, I got hit TWICE last night on the way home by two different salt trucks. One of them was just rolling slowly along the side of the road, and exactly at the moment I pulled even with him, he let fly with a huge spray of salt, right into the side of my car. It sure seemed deliberate. I wonder if the driver just sits there looking in his side-view mirror and waiting for some poor sucker to come by.

Fortunately, I didn't notice any damage to the paint job, though I should probably take another look in the daylight.

That's not your car rusting. Its small rusted metal flecks from someone elses brakes. I have them all over my hood. I'll be using the clay bar in a couple of weeks...
