Fog light question for 06 tsx

Does anyone know where he fog light relay is on the o6 tsx? I am going to wire the fog lights so I can have them come on with the parking lights. This is an easy mod if I can find the relay. All it will involve is cutting the a wire from the relay and wiring it to the hot parking light wire or relay. I have done this on my mazda.

Not sure how that helps, but the mod is easy. Just need to find the fog light relay. I have seen the wiring diagram for 04-05 but not 06.

I referenced that thread because according to moda_way, what you are wanting to do has been looked into and found not to be easy. At the time, I didn't realize you started both threads.

No, problem. It IS easy if I can locate the wire the makes the fog light rely hot. Everything will work the same including the dash light. I just did this on my 2006 MX 5 convertible. There is nothing to it. On the 04 diagram I see the wire I need to mod, but I am not sure if it is the same for 06. If I can find the relay I can test for it. The swith is doing nothing more then swtiching ground. I cannot see why this is said to be hard. Its just basic electronics.

Sorry but it's not that easy. It's a totally different circuit design than what your Mazda may have used (speaking of the '04-'05.....it's possible, but not likely, that it has changed for '06).

The foglight relay is hot at all times (on the '04-05 it's under the fusebox on the L/F shocktower). It is switched to ground through the multiplex with a signal originating inside the headlight/foglight switch. Really the only way (besides using an aftermarket separate foglight switch to ground the relay) is to disassemble the headlight/foglight switch and try and isolate the circuit internally inside the switch.

It's anything but "basic electronics."

Another option to look at is swapping out the light switch with one from a european market Accord, maybe their light switches are wired differently. For German cars, this is a popular & easy mod. It allows you to turn on the fog lights with the parking lights, without needing to have the low beams on. Good luck!
