Fish tailed
I spun the rear of my TSX for the first time last week. I made a wide left turn in a T-intersection at 40 mph, then narrowed the turn half way. As I made the turn sharper, the rear of the car lost ground and spun out.
As I reached the end of the turn, the rear was about 4-7 ft off the intended path. I brought it in-line by adjusting the steering wheel to the intended path, meanwhile applying a little of the accelerator to pull the car where I wanted to go. It worked great, and rear came into place without fish-tailing to the opposite side.
To my surprise, VSA never kicked in (didn't see the light, nor felt or heard the ABS go on).
The (non-intended) maneuver made a little bit of tire noise, but only enough to attract some stares by nearby drivers.
Now that I've found the edge, I know what not to do next time.
PS: The road was dry & clean, location is off ramp from I-5 into Manchester (east).

yeah the TSX can have a little bit of tail wagging...sounds like u controled it nicely...
well 2 things.... first off this is why I reccomend for everyone to find somewhere safe thats not a public road next time it snows, and spin out....e-brake whatever...just so you learn what the car does, honestly I sware it has probilbly Saved me once or twice in a bad situation...
2ndly: From what I hear a aftermarket rear sway bar should stop this from happening, guys have posted it does wonders for our car

with VSA on, the car corrected its path rather quickly. let's say if I pulled the ebrake, the tail will swing around but will correct itself to the steering quickly, and I don't recall any lights (ABS only at times) coming on either unless while accelerating.
and with VSA off, the car skidded like I expected it to, and if I pull the ebrake, the tail will swing all the way around until I apply light throttle and counter steer
Although VSA light didn't come on, I can defintely tell that the VSA kicked in.....

Good recommendations, though.
