First gas up,something wrong?
First gas up last night on my new ride.Went to Chevron and put full tank of 92 in it.However, right after that,I feel that the car somehow a bit heavier to move? It was kinda late so I just drove home and didn't really think there's a problem.
This morning,I started up my car, everything is still fine.Idle is fine, engine sounds fine, warm air blows fine.Just, the driving feeling is changed.Feels like the car is not that willing to go,and somehow the tranny shifts a bit harsh??
I am lost now, what did I do wrong? I heard that the dealership put 91 from Shell into it before. That made the difference?
Any idea guys? I am lost...........

Could have a tank of bad fuel or even better, the winter blend (at least I know they do that here in the states). No telling, but watch your mileage and try a different gas next time.
I used to get a bad tank of fuel from a Shell up the street from me. I stopped going there after I figured out it was the fuel.

Bad fuel?
I will try to drive a bit more and figure out what's going on.But the feeling is just not right.
I still remembered that I saw they put a board on the gas pumps says they are the Top Tier Gas station.....

Remember to never gas up at a filling station is you see the gas truck refilling the stations tanks........stirs up the sediment on the bottom....... Don't want that in your car.....

I read a couple of threads before.Saying that the ECU will take some time to learn the new fuel, since I put 92 in it instead of 91.Will that also count?

Thanx for the reply guys! seems that it would be the gas.Next time I think I really should switch a station....
I use chevron since my friends who drive M3 or Carreras, they all use Chevron 94 and it becomes a granted matter that Chevron is good.
I am kinda afraid of Mohawk's 94 since I am not too confident about their 10% Ethanel.Otherwise it would be good choice since you get 94 for the price of 91 in other stations.

Also bear in mind that your car does handle differently with a full tank than without. While the difference in weight distribution is small, it can be noticable right after filling up - especially when you're driving a new car and are super attuned to the nuances of the driving experience.

Assuming that you got about 15 gallons, you're adding about 100 lbs towards the rear of the car. This will make the car feel different in power and handling. It is similar to putting something that weighs 100 lbs in your trunk. Also, it is very unlikely that you will feel the effect of a gas up right away because the fuel line would still have the old fuel.

I hit 8.7L/100 today, which is like 27.4 US liquid gallon? I don't know if it's ok for a new car though.Seems to be better than couple of days before. I has like 600km on it.
