Whats up guys,

I spoke with Marcus from Heeltoe Automotive and asked him if he knew of where to get a carbon fiber front hood trim to match my new hood.

He said that if i could get ten people together for a group buy he would be willing to make it happen.

The front hood trim could be made for you in either fiberglass, so you can get it custom painted, OR wrapped in carbon fiber so that it should come close to matching most cf hoods.

I am not sure of the price yet, but would imagine around 200 or so.

What is hood trim, and is the part made of carbon fiber, or only covered in carbon fiber?

 

This is the hood trim, goes across the front/top of your hood.

I would imagine the part will be made from fiberglass and coated in carbon fiber, but I am not 100% sure.
Don't think it it really makes a difference anyway.

 

Thanks Abrams. I guess I need to look more closely at my car. I was just wondering if this was a cosmetic part or a performance part, but you answered that question.

I'd be interested in a CF hood if it were cheap enough. There are probably better ways to improve fuel economy and performance though.

 

I am done with performance for now unless someone comes out with an intercooler kit or Kpro comes back. If I can't find enough people I am just going to bring it to Performance Industries to do it along with the inserts for my wheels. I just thought people might be interested in it, but I guess not.
