Factory Headlights Aim Spec

Can anyone show me a picture of their headlight aims? I went back to the dealship for 10,000 miles service. The service advisor told me that my right headlight aims too high and they made an adjustment to the factory spec. I was charged 30 bucks for the adjustment b/c the headlights are covered by the warrenty for 1 year/12,000 miles. When I came back home, I didn't see much difference before and after the adjustment.

That is crap! If you do a search there is a thread with scanned in PDF's of the factory alignment specs and how to do it with pictures as well.

you were RIPPED OFF. you can easily adjust them yourself, and to hell with factory spec. I personally think its too low and raised mine a bit.

You could've just told them that you can do it yourself isn't hard to do only takes a minute.

Thank you for all of your reponses!
I knew I was ripped off when I was paying. The guy told me the price after the job was done. He never asked me if I wanted to do it or not. There's nothing I could have done about it.

Call it a learning experience! I always ask how much before they do anything on my cars... they probably have a minimum charge policy on the labour... which would explain the $30 although it probably took them 2 minutes...

Apologies for reviving an ancient thread.

Thanks for the FSM scan!

I have a question.

The FSM only states that the cutoff should be 2.1" below the center height measurement of the headlights at 25 feet away.

My question is what's the height measurement of the factory lights? My car is lowered so this recommendation doesn't help much. I lost quite a bit of night time visibility when I lowered. I need to aim them up just a tad. (No I'm not going to blind everyone!! Lol)

I hope someone can help. Thanks!!
