Hi,

I have bought a acura tsx recently, the dealer offered me a deal for 6 year / 72K acura care extened warrenty program (mentioned that its directly from acura) for $850. I plan on keeping the car for around 5 years.. I am an average mileage driver.. around 15000 per year. How good is it to have a extended warranty.

You can always get the extented warranty later. 5 year is a long time, you don't know what gonna happen. So I would suggest you getting it later when you really need it

I'm with Helico on that one. Why buy now? Wait til your factory warranty is almost up and then get it. Question: does the extended warranty price goes up the older and more miles you have on your car or is it a fixed $850 (depending on dealer)?

dealer said that the price of 850$ is an offer going on now till end of month and it will cost around 1100$ later. does anyone know if it costs more as miles and years pass by.

Hmmmm. I just got a quote of $745 for $0 deductible - 5 years - 75,000 miles Acura Care warranty from http://www.curryacuracare.com

So far I've "invested" about 3 minutes in researching this! You might be able to do even better with a serious effort! Let us know!
