I believe that they are about $280 a tire at Cdn tire. I like the FF7 as well. I like the current 5 spoke design I have so I am a little concerned about the 7 spoke FF7.

bradykp - I haven't measured my mpg yet. I was going to check it out after my next fill up, although I'm aware that it should improve as you put some more miles on it.

In Canada we measure gas mileage by litres/100 kms, but I am old school when it comes to mileage and still prefer and understand mpg better. I'm okay with kilometers showing up in the range field, but wish the fuel economy measure was in mpg.

No. I don't need to keep out the heat and I have to think that it reduces your visability somewhat.

I can understand how it can look cool with the windows tinted, but it is not my style.

For those who want it and get it ...

Checked out the cost of the new Acura OEM wheels and they are $603 per wheel.

Sorry for the non TSX post.

excited 01-06-2006 05:56 PM

Certainly no tinting in the immediate plans.

I have had my TSX for almost three weeks now.

Winter Tire review: The Michelin Alpin PA2's are quiet and have good dry traction. I haven't had anything wet or slippery or deep to try them on yet. Plus 6 C today and no snow. Might get a little bit tonight, maybe.

New wiper review: They are great in wiping the water on the windshield from the wand wash. I haven't used them even once on the road.

The rest of the TSX: I love it.

Thanks a lot.

Way back when, when I was first trying to decide what colour I wanted, I discounted blue not having seen RBP. After much angst I decided on ASM. Fate made me not get ASM and gave me the opportunity to see the new arrival of RBP.

In all of the cars that I have owned throughtout my adult life, I have never had so many people come up to me and say how much they love the colour. Each day I love the colour more and more. I also love the TSX each day more and more and look forward to my first long road trip with it.

I have washed it five times. It was never really dirty, but I am trying to keep it as perfect as I can. I washed it twice one day.

I will wash it again on Sunday, whether it needs it or not, so that it starts the week looking it's best.

I'm not this anal about anything else.

 It's been raining for the last several weeks and it's expected to be raining still for the next week... Right now, I have 2 options to hope for, 1) keep raining so the dirt is hidden and I can pretend I have a clean car, or 2) clear up for a weekend so I can wash it. Well, as long as it's a weekend I don't go snowboarding... now that the mountain is FINALLY open.

We finally got a skiff of snow. It melted on the roads pretty quick but left them wet and dirty. Finally had to use the wipers once. Now the Sunday wash is required.

The nav again showed me a better route to a destination. I didn't expect that it would be so helpful in the city.

Do you feel any difference in the ride after engine break-in!?

The seats feel a little less firm, the engine seems a little more willing to accelerate, but that might because I am a little more willing to push it.

My impressions are still the same as in the beginning though. Smooth power when you want it. If you want to zip to a spot you can. It's not overwhelming power but that's not what any of us bought it for.

Still really like the AT and I do use the SS fairly often, but I am very happy at other times to use just the regular AT mode.

It's a really solid car. The solid sound you hear when you shut the doors is representative of how solid the whole car is when you drive.

I couldn't wait to Sunday, I went and washed it tonight at the wand wash. The RBP looks really cool under the flourescent lights of the car wash.

When I used to post a lot on the Escape forums there were a lot of posts about the brake dust on the wheels. You don't see too many complaints about this on this forum which is a good thing. I have had zero problems with brake dust.

The wheels I have are very easy to keep clean. A quick spray and they look like new.

i purchased two products to take care of the wheels:

First...Simple Green, i spray it on, let it soak for a minute, and then spray it off, with high pressure. if needed, you could use a brush to scrub, but i havent needed to yet. there is some breakdust accumulated where each spoke meets the wheel, so i need something to rub that off.

the second....

Prestone Wheel cleaner with Brake Dust Repellent.

This stuff, if it works, supposedly makes it harder for the dust to accumulate. It made the wheels look like knew either way (they're only 3 weeks old). But i'm going to use these two products in conjunction to keep the wheels sparkling.

Eventually, probably in the spring, i'll take the wheels off and put a sealant on them, as recommended in the wash and wax forum, to help keep the breakdust off.

lol, sometimes i wish i had two TSX's one to drive around no worries, the other garaged away just to keep clean and spanky beautiful. I have only put 360 on my TSX so far, probably hit 600 on monday when I go shopping with friends. Usually I still take the civic around instead =D

lol Especially the part of no worries and especially when parking. I keep parking as far as way from other cars as possible, or choose a spot that only one car is beside you, or park in really wide spots.

Well, it was 81 degrees today and I've just returned from my first clay bar/Zymoil detail. 3 hours! Holy crap my back is KILLING me! I've never owned a dark vehicle before and it is so hard to get the oily looking wax streaks off! But wow my car looks awesome! It was so worth the physical trauma. I went to pick up some to-go food since I can't lift my arms right now. As I was leaving, I saw an '04/'05 SSM in the parking lot. The guy inside almost rotated his head in a complete circle to check out my sapphire beauty. There are tons of lights in the lot so lots of sparkles on my car. I drove out extra slow to make him drool a bit. :naanaa:

You should have bought your car from the place I bought mine. Free washes for the life of the vehicle. :D Sure, it's no substitute for a good hand wash, clay, and wax, but it's nice being able to drive a few minutes, get it washed, and not have to worry about it being too dirty for at least a few days. This is a luxury in Chicago in January.

I'm eagerly anticipating the day when I can hand wash, clay, and wax my TSX. Alas, January in Chicago isn't the best time for that.
