Engine roughness

Has anyone noticed some very subtle and slight roughness between 2500 rpms and 3000 rpms? I am talking very slight...its just not quite as smooth , and then it smooths out after about 3000. I can feel this small amount of roughness being communicated through my pedals right about 2500 rpms and it smooths out after 3000. Its not really a problem as its so subtle but I am just curious if anyone else has noticed this. You will have to really concentrate to feel it.

Just an idea, but could it be when VTEC begins to kick in? i-VTEC is a continuing process rather than a simple slap in the back feeling of power. Do you notice an increase in power with this "roughness"? Could it also be the engine mounts? I believe they adjust depending on the revs.

i feel that the pedal vibrate a little bit also. I thought it had something to do with me hitting the rev limiter a few times, but i guess not. I'm hoping this "roughness" will go away with time.

hm.... seems to me i've felt this before but it's not consistent enough for me to make a mental note of it. To be honest at this poitn the engine should be making peak torque. Are you hitting the gas hard when this happens? maybe a vsa thing? I don't seriously think that's what's going on...just throwing out ideas....

I dont know guys...its probably nothing. And its barely noticable ... you have to be really nuts like me or it seems a few others here to notice it. Maybe my first oil change will help? If it gets worse I'll worry about it I guess.

Thanks.
