Hopefully NAV can be enhanced with traffic reports and show you the least congested route as well. I heard it's in the works, pending government approval to override the law of interactive devices in the driver's view.
(She said NAV! She said NAV!)

If it could take traffic into account, it would be worth its weight in gold.

Yeah, I've actually gotten mad at it for not being "trainable" -- like, OK, so you didn't know about this to begin with -- but how many times do I have to do this before you get wise???
But then I realized I was the dumb one, because if I'm going to the same place over and over again, I don't need to have the Nav on at all.

Nav... Navi... Has this become the TSX version of potatoes vs potatos?

BTW, is it good or bad that I said NAV?

Yeah, sort of!

The other day I started a thread (modestly named "Fixing the English Language") where I try to get people to say "Nav" instead of "Navi."
(I know that a lot of people were saying it before anyway, but Navi has been the "official" way.)

So, I rejoice whenever I see anyone saying "Nav."

NAV or NAVI, if only it was available in CANADA!
After reading this review, I'd wished I had a Nav to play with. http://www.car-data.com/xpage.review...=tsx&writer=cw

Okay Larchmont, you can rejoice once more :p

That's the epitome of an enthusiastic review. It's safe to say he liked the car.

Yeah -- about the review! (Great get, vis.)

I can't resist quoting this from the last pgph of the review:

"It is quite possible that GOD himself created the TSX for his own personal use, but there is evidence to the contrary. What I do know is that the TSX was a great idea."

Don't forget, the damn thing (NAV) is Windows CE based. Thank Bill Gates for its intelligence (or lack thereof). BTW - Love mine and I'm glad I splurged.

NOT worth $2,000.

I only need directions about once a month... and my $20 Thomas Guide does the trick just fine.

Bill only gets credit for the relative stability of the software.

If it (or we) could only update the maps then the Navi would wise-up.

That'd be slick if when you drove into "uncharted territory", it would pop another screen and ask you "Would you like to add the road you're on right now to the navigation database?" There are several roads I drive that it doesn't know about... and that'd be nice.
