Do people think you have your brights on?

I've had my TSX seven months, and about 1/2 a dozen times people have flashed their brights at me. I assume it's because they think I have my brights on, which I don't. This happened again tonight, as a car across the intersection did it to me. The first time I ignored, the second time, I turned on my brights so they could see the difference. Does this pretty much happen to everyone with Xenons?

Yup. I begin to "escalate the situation". If only I had fogs....

What I really want is some SUPER BRIGHT high beams. Then when I flash people they go blind.

I'd like to get some of those SUPER BRIGHT high beams installed in my rear window. Those huge SUVs and pickup trucks are have their lights right at window level and are really pissing me off.

I did too when I first got my TSX....so now I leave the fog lights on all the time and it seems to help. Of course this may not be the solution for those who cannot drive with fogs on unless the weather is inclement. Oh well...keep flashing! :P

Ya, me too. Except I want to turn mine into a strobe light.

And yes I get high beamed every once in a while. I just ignore it for now, ... untill I get my strobe light installed.

I just try to drive so fast that my car passes them BEFORE my headlight light actually hits them!!!

Course travelling at faster than light speeds makes stone chips A LOT worse....

I think you have to have a sticker on your car that says "WOW" and look for it on Wednesdays I guess that doesn't happen anymore :'(

I think I live in Xenon-land (ha ha NJ go figure) - I can't remember the last time someone has flashed me. Well, I can't think of once, but I was stopped at an intersection angled up, squirt'n the dude in the face with my HIDs. I remember driving behind this Miata with the top down last summer, watching my HIDs bounced up and down over his mirror and headrests thinking how much that dude would've liked to kill me

I live in an area where for some reason or another alot of the intersections are elevated so my lights point even higher into the oncoming traffic's windshield (especially useful at stoplights). I get flashed, flash back. For the SUVs, consider a 2,000,000 candle power spotlight to the eyes or reflective film for your rear window.

I've got flashed a few times...few of them have been SUV's...which I don't get. But sometimes I leave my finger by the light switch when I'm on a two lane road with no one ahead of me...in case they decide to pull a quick one on me so I can get them back. But I always leave my fogs on and they still dont' get it... Oh well.

add me to that list.

As far as trucks behind us. A lady I work with managed to aim her mirror just right so the light reflected back into the drivers eyes

I've tried it before but never pulled it off myself.

I've blinded myself with the HID's reflecting off chrome bumpers of some old pickups.

Maybe a dedicated mirror mounted near the rear window would do the trick?

I too have been flashed several times by the village idiots. I love the HIDs so if the other driver doesn't like it, tough nuggies .

Hmmm, that brings an interesting question. What if the oncoming driver flashes at you, you flash back, and when both cars get close enough, you realize the other driver is also driving a TSX?

I think Soze said it the best in another thread:
"I want auto-leveling xenons and way brighter and blinding highbeams for when some yahoo flashes me because he's an automotive half-wit and is unaware that physics and terrain are to blame for my lights blinding him. Flash me? OK...here's my high beams pal! Bright enough for ya?! Wait...he's not turning around is he?"

I've had my TSX for about five months now, and no one ever flash their brights at me once. Seriously, you probably should check those HIDs alignment.

I get the occasional flash.
If there is time I flash 'em back, so they know they were wrong.

F*k 'em if they can't take a joke.

I don't think it's the alignment. As another poster mentioned, at some intersections there is a slight incline which makes the HID's point up higher. When behind other cars on flat roads, I can see where they cut off and it's pretty low, well below rear window level.

Now if we had the auto-leveling HID's like I heard they have in europe, that would be the answer.

Nope. Autoleveling doesn't do that. They adjust for weight bias in the car.

I only get flashed when I use my fogs.

You think its because of my superbright fogs.

BTW, when I switch over to the PIAA bulbs my lights did get brighter. I dare someone to flash me.
