i just had my oil changed, but the maintenance light flashes a few times whenever i turn the car on. my only guess would be that the mechanic didn't reset the computer. what do you think?

Follow the instructions in your manual to reset the light yourself. And yes, a lot of times, the mechanics forget to reset the light.
