Do *any* aftermarket wipers work with 06+ TSX?
I've tried PIAA Super Silicone, PIAA Hybrid Forza, Latitudes, and none of these will fit the '06 TSX. The OEM wipers work great when the blades are new, but a week later if you use them at all, they start streaking, etc, and are just a painful experience. Rain-X definitely helps, however re-applying every 3 weeks is a pain in the ass. That's why I would love to use the PIAA silicone blades, as they keep your windshield constantly siliconed, to give you that constant beeding action.
Some threads on this forum state that the Bosch Icons will work (426A and 416A), but I never saw confirmation that they work specifically on the 2006 TSX.
There seems to be an issue with the angle/offset/placement of the wiper arms, that causes normal wipers to not sit properly.
Drivers side: If you turn the wipers on intermittent, and then allow them to go up the windshield and quickly turn off the keys, you will notice that the blade makes contact along the bottom side, but about 1/3 the way up there is a gap between it and the windshield.
Passengers side: Outer portion of the wiper makes contact with the frame of the windshield, thus being un-usable.
So, has anybody successfully installed after-market wipers on their 06+ TSX? I'm eagerly awaiting good news

Instead of Rain X use this
http://www.amazon.com/Aquapel-88625-...pd_sim_auto_17
Product Description
Use the glass treatment that jet fighters use on their windshields without wiper blades! Aquapel is a patented product from the leaders in glass technology - PPG. This product applies to the windshield to dramatically increase visibility in rain day or night. The solution forms a chemical bond with glass, unlike silicone-based products that simply coat glass. It lasts up to 6 times longer than other products. The solution causes the rain to bead up and roll off. Also, snow, ice, and bugs are easy to remove. One application treats one windshield or two side windows.

Regarding wiper quality - I've used Bosh Icon and Valeo and never had any problem with them.

I just repositioned the passenger side wiper arm. Pop off the cover, loosen up the bolt, move the arm up the windshield so that the new wiper JUST clears, and re tighten the bolt. Now your free to use any brand that you want. It may not be as "sleek" at OEM as the passenger blade sticks up a little more, but not enough to bother me.

There's still the outstanding issue of the drivers side -- I may swing by Autozone and buy some Icons to see if they will fit properly AND maintain contact with the windshield throughout the range of their movement.
I can understand (but don't agree with) why Acura would want to force customers into using only OEM, but for god's sake -- wiper blades? Are they really making that much money off inserts?

For PIAA super silicones that works for the passenger side... I was able to remove the Silicone insert from them and use them on the OEM blade. For the drivers side, the ridges don't line up properly. If I remember correctly, the OEM slots that the blade is mounted with are narrower than those on the PIAA insert, so there was no way of getting it to fit.

I picked up some Bosch icons in 426A for the drivers side, tonight at Autozone. They fit, keep contact with the windshield, and seem to be fine so far. I'll give them a few months and see how they wear VS the OEM blades, and then decide which ones I'll go forward with. If these last more than 2 months without streaking, I say they beat OEM inserts. Time will tell, but let me just confirm for anybody else out there wondering that the Bosch Icons in 426A fit the 2006 TSX correctly on the drivers side

I just bought the Bosch Icons 426A and 416A after not liking the way the Trico brand blades that I purchased last week fit. They were touching the edge of the window frame on the passenger side and missing a spot in the middle of the window. The Icons are a better fit on the edge but they are still missing a spot in the center of the passenger window. It's not as bad as the Trico but I never had this problem with the OEMS. The guy at Autozone thought it looked like the 426 is actually a little small.

I agree.... I just replaced mine this weekend. I've never had any problems with the stock blades on my 06 and they are cheaper than the full arm replacements.
HINT... spray some invisible glass inside the channel of the blade before you slip the new one in. The new blades will go in like butter. Also be sure you get the wire rods in the right direction.

Good choice. I don't mean to insult those that spends 30+ on wiper blades cause in your area it might rain more. But in SoCal, rain only lasts for a day and once every blue moon. It's been over a year and I still have the stock blades with slight smears when it rains.

Make a hole, coming thru!
I replaced my blades with Acura OEM (Mitsuba?) a few months ago, did a DIY thread, and they're still good. Perfect swipes, no noise. But ... I clean my windshield scrupulously.

instead of rain x, i just buy the orange windshield water with rain x built in. its like 2 bucks at walmart. and you just keep re-applying it whenever you use ur windshield water.

Cheaper online. I bought some, and an air filter, from Del Ray Acura in FL. My local dealer charged $10 me for the blades last year, even though an Acura parts search on their web site quoted $7something ... turned out that was an "order through Acura that the dealer fulfills for them." Sounded like to me.
My gf's Echo needed new blade inserts, and I got them locally to be sure ... and they gave me a "comparable" insert which fell off, losing the splines/plates. Found that I could've gotten them online at a 55% or better discount. Will I never learn...?

Damn I wish I would have seen this thread. I ALWAYS get Bosh Icons, yet they have stopped making them in the 416A. No one has them. So I went with the Rain X Latitudes. Like an idiot, I threw all the boxes and receipt away. The 26 fit well, but the 16 hits the side of the windshield. I moved it up a bit, but it looks like ass

I just don't get it. Your 2006 Acura OEM wiper assemblies are as good as Bosch Icons, and the wiper refills are < $7 from online Acura dealers (e.g. Delray, where I got 3 sets). Why buy whole wipers for a 2006, $35, when you can replace the wiper blades for < $10?
Some of you young guys must think that paying more means you get more/better.

Not arms themselves (whoops) but the blades! I've always had Icons, so thats what I went with! Never even tried the Acura ones, I may do that next time though. For the mean time, I hope this 16" Icon fits, because the Rain X Latitude was to long!

I don't know about the other guy but I can't stand the OEM wipers on the passenger side because of the nonstop chattering. It happened right after I bought the car with new blades. I believe the theory is, for at least some TSX's, it doesn't apply enough downward pressure on the wiper since it attaches on the side of the wiper and not on top. therefore i have to get aftermarkets.

Sorry to bring this old post up but can someone tell me the correct part numbers on Delray Acura website? Just want to make I buy the right thing. I am guessing I need to purchase both 76632-SEC-A11(RUBBER, BLADE (400MM)) and 76622-SEA-J11(RUBBER, BLADE (650MM))?
