But I didn't find anything definite on whether or not the '07 TSX plays mp3 CDs.

Does it? And if so, does it display folder/file information?

Excuse the newbieness, but I'm looking to buy soon and this will help my decision. Thanks.

The stock 04-08 TSX stereo does not play mp3 cds
you need to buy the $550 option:

# Auxiliary CD player that decodes MP3 and WMA compression software, which allows you to burn over 100 songs or several hours of music onto a single CD
# Fits into the center console and operates off of the standard audio system controls

I had to re-register for some reason

Thanks! more questions:

I don't think that optional mp3 player displays track/folder info (at least the owners manual for it that I found online said that it doesn't), does it?

What year did the TSX start putting in auxillary jacks for mp3 players? Does that allow you to control the ipod from the head unit/steering wheel? Does it display track/folder information?

Thanks in advance.

Volume only.

No.

They make add-in units that give the ipod much more functionality. I think one is called blitz safe?? Someone else will chime in with a list I'm sure.

Thanks a ton. I defnitely want a TSX (05-07) but mp3 playback is a big deal to me.

If there is a forum that I'm missing on this stuff please direct me to it. I didn't see audio/video anywhere.

You didn't really need to reregister. It looks like you used a different computer and were not logged in on it, so you would have needed to log in. Since you created another account, I will delete the Mgmt. account, but when you go back to your other computer be sure you log in with your correct user name (Mgmt2) and password.

I'll check this thread occasionally to see if you are still having a problem.

That's the thing, when I tried to log in I got a message saying that I couldn't access the page. It's fine now, so thanks!
