Debadge Opinion (NEED YOUR INPUT QUICK)

Ok so some mother#$%@ stole my "A" badge and now I'm left with a deep white scratch on a CGP trunk. So I'm gonna get it repainted and I was given an option to weld in the holes where the "A" is. I want to know what you guys think about a full debadge, as in nothing left behind the car, or leave just the "A"? Thank you for your opinions. Oh, and don't let the fact that my "A" might be stolen again be a factor in having a full debadge. I know there's a chance, but lets "assume" that no one will ever steal the "A" , so you can take that out of consideration.

Here's what it would look like -

If you like the look, go for it. Me personally, I like the A in the middle.

wow, i guess i got my answer. as for the CGP one with full debadge, i think having the tape there makes it look cheap. but then again, getting those holes cover aint cheap. the guy quoted me 90 bucks to cover up the hole

If cost is about the same then shave it. You can always put the A back on with emblem tape just like the Acura and TSX are. However if you don't and wish you had it'll cost you more then taping the A back on will.

I personally kept my A when I debadged the rear, but I think it looks clean w/ a full debadge. Either way your car will look good.

It only costs $90 to shave the holes, including paint? If that's the case I'm getting this done like tomorrow.

no no no its not that easy. they can only do that if they are able to paint the WHOLE panel (not the whole trunk). i don't know the reason why, but it's the same reason that they want to repaint the panel because of a deep scratch. i think it's to match up the paint and not have a blob of darker paint. it's only 90 for the welding (filling in the whole). paint is a different story. thats the reason why i need input because if i dont fill in the holes now, itll be pointless to do it later. but i think i have the right opinions on keeping the "A"

If I were you, I would do both. Fill the holes while you have the option now. When you buy a new "A" emblem, cut off the pegs on the back of it so it's flush, and mount it with the same type of adhesive tape the "ACURA" and "TSX" badges are. If you get sick of the A, you can take it off with floss and voila, debadged car. Then you can just change both on a whim.

EDIT: Wow, totally beaten by this dude

I would definitely shave it. I'd love to shave mine (as well as have the OEM spoiler removed and the holes shaved from that). Add a Mugen grille up front and some aftermarket rims and half the people out there won't know what your car is.

So clean.

Where the (*#& do you live?? The thing costs less than a nice dinner, why rip it off a car. Some people...

If you plan to resell the car, reinstall. If you wanna keep forever and a day, leave it debadged. If you park at the same place, install a post-it reading, "(*#& you, ***hole." No, don't, you'll find your Xm antenna or windshield wipers missing next time.

The link above is my car. I decided to put the "A" back on and painted gloss black. I was thinking about shaving the trunk but it is not worth it + if you decided to sell the car you can always put those emblems back on. I kinda like it with the "A" on the middle instead of nothing on the trunk. Here are some pics of my trunk:
